COBRA BEAT BLACKHAWK TO STAY ON TRACK

MRSL: COBRA 24 - RMAF BLACKHAWK 20

Cobra proved that they are a serious contender in the Malaysia Rugby Super League after defeating RMAF Blackhawk 24-20 on saturday. Blackhawk made it difficult for their opponent but Cobra stayed focus to claim another important win in MRSL.

Cobra were stunned with early penalty awarded to Blackhawk which were scored by Azizan Abdul. Five minutes later, Abdul Latip Husain sneaked through for try and Azizan stretched Blackhawk lead to 10-0. Cobra could not find their rhythm and conceded another penalty to go down 0-13 at half time.

Coach Wan Syahmi Wan Daud made a little changes for Cobra to overturn the score in the final 40 minutes. The effects were pretty quick as Muhammad Saiful Azeem Shafie managed to sneak for a try five minutes into the second half.

Blackhawk's try in the 54th minute did not kill Cobra's desire. Two tries by Vatimio Rabebe sent Cobra into complete control of the match. Blackhawk realised that the Cobra was rising but they could not stop them. Vatimio made the most important try five minutes from time to give Cobra the lead and Muhamad Izzat Laila completed the conversion to end Blackhawk remaining chances.
