PAHANG HAVE ONE LEG IN AFC CUP KNOCKOUT STAGE

​AFC CUP: PAHANG 7 - YADANARBON FC 4 Pahang moved closer to the knockout stage of the AFC Cup competition after a convincing 7-4 win over Myanmar's Yadanarbon FC . Dickson Nwakaeme was start of the night with his hattrick which helped The Elephants to tame the never-say-die opponent at Darul Makmur Stadium. ​Nwakaeme did not wait long to open flood gate as he found the net seven minutes after the kick-off. The Nigerian striker scored another two goals in the 32nd and 59th minutes. D. Saarvindran scored a double, while Matias Conti and Mohd Hafiz Kamal got one each. Yadanarbon FC did not give up and bounced back with a brace from Hlaing Bo Bo  while Ivory Coast striker Djedje Djawa  and Win Naing Soe  added one each. ​Pahang's victory sealed a berth in the the last-16 of the competition. LYDIA KO BEAT MORGAN PRESSEL TO CLAIM SWINGING SKIRTS LPGA CLASSIC

​World No. 1 Lydia Ko notch her seventh career of LPGA Tour title after beating Morgan Pressel in the final round of Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic Crown which was held at Lake Merced Golf Club in California on Sunday. Ko who turned 18 on Friday fired a two-under 70 in the final round to end the game in tied with Morgan Pressel of US at eight-under 280. The New Zealand sensational teenager then birdied in the second playoff hole to win the tournament for the second straight time after successfully claim the first last year. Laid in third was Brooke Henderson, a 17 year old Canadian who finish the game with seven-under 281 while Kwak Min-Seo has to settle at forth with six-under 282. In fifth was Feng ShanShan of China with five-under 283. KEI NISHIKORI DEFENDS BARCELONA OPEN TITLE

​Kei Nishikori won Barcelona Open champion for a second consecutive year after a 6-4 6-4 victory over surprise Spanish finalist Pablo Andujar . It was the ninth career title for the top-seeded Japanese, who displayed his capability as he battled on to come out on top against Andujar. Despite racking up 13 unforced errors, Nishikori still managed to break his opponent at 5-4 to win the first set. The Japanese world No 5 continued to make mistakes as the Spaniard went into a 2-0 lead in the next and then survived a break point to go 3-1 ahead. Yet Nishikori rallied to level at 4-4 before, in Andujar's next service game, a double fault gifted Nishikori match point and a backhand down the line gave him the victory. ​England's Lee Westwood fended off the spirited challenge from Thailand's Chapchai Nirat by defeating him at the first play-off hole to clinch his third CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters presented by Enjoy Jakarta Golf title on Sunday.   The former world number one's bid to claim his hat-trick of titles at the US$750,000 Asian Tour event was secured when he birdied the play-off 18th hole as Chapchai, a four-time Asian Tour winner, could only make par. The Englishman appeared to be cruising towards an emphatic victory until two successive bogeys on 16 and 17 blew the title race wide open.   He had the opportunity to win with a birdie at the last but misread the green and was forced to settle for a par and a four-day total of seven-under-par 281. BOS GAURUS BEAT SOUTHERN TIGERS IN IPOH

​LIGA SUPER: PERAK 2 - JDT 1 Perak claimed a stunning victory over Johor DT in Ipoh on saturday. The Bos Gaurus staged a great comeback to beat the star-studded JDT 2-1 in a Super League match at the Perak Stadium. Perak moved up to fifth place in the Super League with 14 points, while the Southern Tigers missed the chance to jump to the top of the table. ​JDT had a good start when Junior Eldstal found the net in the 24th minute. However, the homeside did not panic and stated to put on a great show. Muhd Nurridzuan Abu Hassan Saari made it 1-1 in the 48th minute and Perak was back in the game. Brazilian import Charles Chad Souza scored the winner two minutes later to give Perak the inspirational win. WESTWOOD TAKES THE LEAD AT CIMB NIAGA INDONESIAN MASTERS

​England's Lee Westwood's superb ability of staying patient was rewarded when he stormed ahead to snatch the third round lead with a seven-under-par 65 at the CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters presented by Enjoy Jakarta Golf on Saturday.   The former world number one cut a frustrated figure in his front-nine but an astonishing back-nine 29 saw Westwood compile a three-day total of eight-under-par 208 to establish a five-shot lead going into the final round at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club .   Thailand's Namchok Tantipokhakul carded a 71 to tie for second with Denmark's Thomas Bjorn and Korea's Y.E. Yang on matching 213 total at the US$750,000 Asian Tour event.   It was a tale of two different nines for Westwood, the double CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters champion, who had started the day in seventh place. ​Overnight leader Itthipat Buranatanyarat of Thailand survived an early charge by American Casey O'toole and a late scare by Filipino Orlan Sumcad to claim his first Asian Development Tour (ADT) victory at the US$60,000 ICTSI Sherwood Hills Classic on Saturday. Itthipat, who enjoyed a one-shot advantage heading into the final round, held his nerves to hole a seven-foot birdie putt on the last for a closing even-par 72 and a winning total of five-under-par 283 at the Sherwood Hills Golf Club . Second-placed Sumcad, who also signed for a 72, nailed a seven-iron from 188 yards for his ace on the par-three 16th hole but was not enough to pip Itthipat, who marked his card with two birdies against two bogeys to win by one shot at the ICTSI Sherwood Hills Classic. ​Australian Unho Park battled the gusty conditions before signing for a second round one-over-par 73 to stake his place atop the leaderboard at the CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters presented by Enjoy Jakarta Golf on Friday. On a windy day where only four players broke par at the Royal Jakarta Golf Club , Park continued to put himself in contention for his maiden Asian Tour win at the US$750,000 Asian Tour event with his two-day total of four-under-par 140. ​Chinese Taipei's Chan Shih-chang showed his mettle as he opened his account with a six-under-par 66 to share the first round lead with Denmark's Thomas Bjorn at the US$750,000 CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters presented by Enjoy Jakarta Golf on Thursday. ​PIALA FA: PERAK 0(1) - TERENGGANU 2(1) Two times champion Terengganu booked the semi-final slot of FA Cup competition after securing a comfort 2-0 win against Perak at Ipoh Stadium on Tuesday. After the  1-1 draw in Kuala Terengganu, the Turtles had to travel to Ipoh with an uphill task to win the second leg match on Perak's home ground. ​​Perak dominated the first period in term of possession , but it was still Terengganu who had a better chance after Paulo Rangel headed the ball into the net in 20th minutes. Terengganu started much stronger after the break and Issey Nakajima made sure the Turtles are through to the last four after the Canada born rolled the ball into the net in the 56th minutes. APHIBARNRAT WINS SHENZHEN INTERNATIONAL IN PLAYOFF

​Kiradech Aphibarnrat displayed an excellent finish to claim his second European Tour title and break Chinese hearts in the inaugural Shenzhen International on Sunday. Teenager Li Hao-tong looked ready to secure a hugely popular victory on home soil, the 19-year-old emerging from a crowded leaderboard to card a closing 67 to finish 12 under par.   That left overnight leader Aphibarnrat two shots behind with two holes to play, only for the 25-year-old to hole from 18 feet for an eagle on the 17th and then miss from 12 feet for what would have been a winning birdie on the last. JDT IN HOT PURSUIT OF SUPER LEAGUE LEADERS

​LIGA SUPER: JDT 3 - KELANTAN 1   Johor DT bounced back from their boring goalless draw against LionsXII last week with a convincing 3-1 win over Kelantan at Larkin Stadium on Saturday. The Southern Tigers had new singnings Patito Rodriguez and Alhaji Kamara in their line-up, while Kelantan also named Austin Amutu and Gilmar Filho to strenghthen their squad. ​It was interesting to see both sides were playing on offensive tactics. Kelantan opened the scoring as Austin and Gilmar linked up to beat Izham Tarmizi . JDT increased their efforts and got the equalizer in the 17th minute. LIONS FELL PREY TO THE RED GIANTS

​LIGA SUPER : SELANGOR 4 - LIONS XII 0  Selangor  stays on the top of the  Malaysia Super League standings after The Red Giants  hammered  Lions XII  of Singapore 4-0 at Shah Alam Stadium on Saturday.  Muhd Afiq Azmi  was the hero for Selangor  when he scored a hattrick  within 10 minutes to drive Selangor into the big win.   ​The game started with Andik Vermanshah almost put Selangor infront in third minutes but his effort was blocked by the Lions defender. Mohd Afiq Azmi put Selangor beyond the Lions' reach in the first half through a hat-trick in 7th, 11th and 15th minutes.   ​Comfort with three goals advantage, Selangor kept piling the pressure on the Lions. In 78th minutes, Andik Vermansyah manage to square the ball to  Guilherme  and the Brazillian easily slotted the ball into the net for the fourth goal. ROSSI GRABS SECOND WIN OF THE SEASON

​Nine times world champions, Valentino Rossi won his second MotoGP race of the 2015 season at Argentina MotoGP at Termas de Rio Hondo circuit. The Italian rider has powered his machine and clocked 41:35.644 to win the race. Defending champion Marc Marquez crashed out in the closing stages after struggling with his tyres at a corner of the penultimate lap. Andrea Dovizioso of Ducati was in second place again and a late move in the final corner ensures Honda rider from Briton Cal Crutchlow grabbed the third place from Andrea Innone as the Ducati rider had to settle in forth. FELDA UNITED ENDS TERENGGANU UNBEATEN RUN

​​LIGA SUPER: TERENGGANU 1 - FELDA UNITED 3 Felda United keep the  Malaysia Super League title in their sight after earning a comfort win over  Terengganu 3-1 at Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium  in Kuala Terengganu on Saturday.  Ahmad Syamim Yahya  grabbed the first goal in 19th minutes to ensure The Fighters take control of the first half. Second half resumed with Turtles pulling back the game after Paulo Rangel  hit with a thumping header for an equlizer in 63rd minutes. Felda quickly recovered their tempo and  Makeche Ndumba put the visitors infront in 80th minutes before  Zah Rahan Krangar sealed the game three minutes later through a counter attack.   Despite the win, Felda remained second in the 12-team standings after eight matches played with 17 points, which is equals with leader Selangor but least on goal difference. ARIE CRUISES TO VICTORY AT THE ICTSI EAGLE RIDGE INVITATIONAL

​Overnight leader Arie Irawan of Malaysia clinched his second Asian Development Tour (ADT) title and first outside of Malaysia at the US$60,000 ICTSI Eagle Ridge Invitational on Saturday. The 24-year-old Malaysian, who had claimed his breakthrough ADT victory on home soil earlier in January, battled to an even-par 71 after trading two birdies against two bogeys on a blustery day at the Aoki course of the Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club . Arie closed with a four-under-par 280 total to win by four shots over local young talent Miguel Tabuena, who signed for a second consecutive 72, in what is the seventh leg of the ADT schedule this season. Local stalwart Antonio Lascuna and compatriot Jun Bernis registered matching 69s to share third place on 285 while Thailand's Poosit Supupramai settled one shot back in fifth place on his own. American duo Brett Munson and Micah Lauren Shin as well as local veteran Elmer Salvador were amongst the five players bunched in sixth place on 287 at

JDTII-KL TIED AT MERDEKA STADIUM

​ ​LIGA PREMIER: KUALA LUMPUR 1 - JDT II 1 Kuala Lumpur failed to utilise their home ground advantage as they were held by Johor DT II in a 1-1 draw on Friday. The City Boys started well to take control early of the match but JDT II managed to control the situations. ​​Hattaphon Bun An broke the duck in the 18th minute to give the home side the lead. JDT II reshaped and increased the pressure over Kuala Lumpur. Ten minutes later, it was a very unfortunate moment for Muhd Zameer Zainun who accidentally put the ball into his own net to give the visitors the equalizer. The first half ended with 1-1. ​Both team returned onto the Merdeka Stadium pitch for the second half, and Kuala Lumpur started to take control. JDT II offside traps worked well to deny the City Boys from adding more goals. Kuala Lumpur could not find the winning goal, and JDT II was lucky to escape with a draw. JDT SLAYS KITCHEE IN LARKIN

​ ​AFC CUP: JDT 2 - KITCHEE FC 0 Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) displayed a brilliant performance to beat Kitchee FC from Hong Kong 2-0 in a Group F AFC Cup match last night. Backed by 10,000 fans at the Larkin Stadium, the home side did not give much space for their opponent throughout the match. ​Luciano Figueroa gave JDT a dream start by finishing off a pass from Safiq Rahim in the 17th minute. The Southern Tigers put more pressure onto Kitchee FC and finally got a penalty when S. Kunanlan was brought down inside the box. Safiq calmly sent the ball into the net in the 42nd minute to make it 2-0. The win gave JDT the top spot in Group F and will face East Bengal in their next AFC Cup match on April 28. Having started the race in the pole position, The Spaniard look dominant to put his campaign back on track. ​AZLAN SHAH CUP: NEW ZEALAND 2 - AUSTRALIA 2 NEW ZEALAND WON THE PENALTY 3-1 A gritty New Zealand surprised world champions Australia 3-1 in the penalty shoot-out in a keenly-contested summit clash to claim their second Azlan Shah Cup hockey title here on Sunday. Goalkeeper Devon Manchester starred for the Black Sticks under the woodwork to secure the hard-earned win in the shoot-out against defending champions Australia after both the teams were tied 2-2 in regulation 60 minutes. ​LIGA PERDANA: JDTII 1 - KEDAH 2  Muhammad Farhan Roslan helped Kedah to a 2-1 victory over Johor Darul Takzim II (JDT II) in a Premier League match at the Larkin Stadium in Pasir Gudang, Johor Baru. The win sent Kedah to fourth place in the Premier League table, with 12 points from seven games. ​​Nigerian import Chidi Edeh put Kedah in front with a super srike in the 4th minute. JDT II got their act right in search for an equalizer.
