LORENZO BEATS ROSSI TO WIN AGAIN IN FRANCE

​Two time Moto GP champion Jorge Lorenzo bags his second straight victory at French MotoGP race at Le Mans race track on Sunday. The Spaniard has clocked 43:44.143s with his Yamaha machine to earn the success. The win also saw Lorenzo bags the French MotoGP title for fifth time in his career. Lorenzo Italian teammate, Valentino Rossi sealed the second place despite starting the race in seventh while Andrea Dovizioso of Ducati was in third. Down in forth place was defending champion Marc Marquez while Dovizioso teammate, Andrea Ianone was in fifth. Valentino Rossi is still leading the standings with 102 points and the Italian legend is currently seeking for a 10th World MotoGP title. French Grand Prix results: 1. MALAYSIA SEALS ASIAN RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP DII TITLE

​ARC: MALAYSIA 53 - THAILAND 7 Malaysia wrapped up their Asian Rugby Championship DII campaign as the champions after thrashing Thailand 53-7 in their last match at the Kelana Jaya Stadium, Kuala Lumpur. The host nation did not face much problem to overcome their neighbour as they dominated through out the match. ​Malaysia took just five minutes to pick their first points through  Mohamad Syarif Sudin 's penalty. Four minutes later, they were 10-0 up after a try by  Amirul Sani  and conversion by Mohamad Syarif. The Malaysians showed very good discipline and determinations to take control of the match. They moved 15-0 in the 22nd minute through Amirul Sani's try, before Thailand gave the home crowd a little thrill with a try by  Kwan Chumjai  and conversion by  Warongkorn Khamkoet . UAE TAKES SECOND PLACE IN ARC DII

​ARC: UAE 16 - CHINESE TAIPEI 12   United Arab Emirates (UAE) clinched the second place in the Asian Rugby Championship (ARC) DII after beating Chinese Taipei 16-12 in Kelana Jaya, Malaysia on Saturday. However, the win did not come easily for the Emirates as the Taiwanese showed a great fighting spirit throughout the match. UAE opened the scoring with a try by Michael Botha just five minutes after the start. Chinese Taipei did not give up, they improved and compete against the physically stronger UAE. Wei-Ming Lin gave them the equalizer with a try in the 23rd minute. The try gave Chinese Taipei a good motivation to keep on going. Five minutes later the Emirates were down 5-12 from Lun-Wei Chang 's try and Yuan-Che Hsueh 's conversion. ​UAE put themselves together and started put more pressure on their opponent. FINLAND’S KASKE WINS IN STYLE AT PGM MNRB SARAWAK CHAMPIONSHIP

​Janne Kaske produced a battling seven-under-par 65 to become the first player from Finland to win on the Asian Development Tour (ADT) at the PGM MNRB Sarawak Championship on Saturday. The 29-year-old Kaske missed a two-foot par putt on the third hole for his only bogey of the day before fighting back with eight birdies to triumph by four shots with a winning total of 12-under-par 276 at the Kelab Golf Sarawak .   Overnight leader Erwan Vieilledent of France enjoyed his best result on the ADT when he returned with a 72 for second place. Malaysia's Airil Rizman fired a 71 to share tied third place on 281 alongside Japan's Masaru Takahashi (70) and Casey O'Toole (71) of the United States at the RM200,000 (US$55,400) ADT event. Kaske, who is the first non-Asian winner on the ADT so far this year, fired the low round of the week to overcome a three-shot deficit to hand him his first title this year. ​ ARC: MALAYSIA 20 - UAE 19 Malaysia staged a sterling performance against United Arab Emirates (UAE) to claim the most important win in the 2015 Asian Rugby Championship (ARC). The clash between the two nations was labelled as the deciding match of the season as UAE was ranked much higher than Malaysia before the championship starts. The Malaysians were in full of confidence after their big win over Chinese Taipei in their previous match. They took the lead in the 13th minute from a try by Atunasia Lacadamu Takubu . ​ ​ARC: CHINESE TAIPEI 29 - THAILAND 24 Chinese Taipei overcame their frustrations from the opening match with a win over Thailand in the Asian Rugby Championship at Kelana Jaya Stadium on Wednesday. The Thais who are also looking for their first win gave a good fight before losing 24-29. Thailand got off with perfect start as Warongkorn Khamkoet scored two penalties within the first ten minutes. Chinese Taipei awaken by Thailand's early charges, pushed hard to get a try in the 19th minute through Yu-Hsiang Wang . But the Thais were up again with a penalty by Warongkorn four minutes later. Chinese Taipei regrouped and got another try in the 34th minute through Lun-Wei Chang . ​​AFC CUP: JOHOR DT 3 - BALESTIER KHALSA 0 Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) progressed into the next stage of the AFC Cup competition as group winner after hammering Balestier Khalsa of Singapore 3-0 in Larkin Stadium, on Tuesday. The win put JDT at the top of group F with 15 points from 6 games as their second place, Kitchee of Hong Kong was held in a 2-2 draw against East Bengal at Mongkok Stadium on the same day. RICKIE FOWLER CLINCHES STUNNING VICTORY AT PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

​​American Rickie Fowler beat Sergio Garcia and Kevin Kisner in a play-off on a dramatic final day at the Players Championship at Sawgrass. The trio finished on 12-under but Fowler beat Kisner at the first sudden death hole after Garcia was earlier eliminated. It was his second PGA Tour win after success in the Wells Fargo Championship in August 2012. In the first three-hole aggregate play-off in tournament history, Garcia could only play the 16th, 17th and 18th in level par as Fowler and Kisner played them in one under thanks to birdies on the 17th. ​ARC: CHINESE TAIPEI 13 - MALAYSIA 46   Malaysia bounced to a good start in the Asian Rugby Championship (ARC) after winning over Chinese Taipei 46-13 at Kelana Jaya Stadium on Sunday. The host nation had a terrible first half before making a brilliant recovery in the second half. Malaysia took the lead in the 6th minute from a try by Atunasia Lacadamu Takubu . Chinese Taipei upped their game and pressured Malaysia. ​ARC: UAE 53 - THAILAND 22   United Arab Emirates (UAE) started their Asian Rugby Championship (ARC) in style by defeating Thailand 53-22 on Sunday. The opening match at the Kelana Jaya Stadium saw Thailand stunned UAE after two minutes with a try by Warongkorn Khamkoet . UAE replied with a try three minutes later by Christopher Jones-Griffiths but missed their conversion. ​Thailand tried to pull away with another try by Pannapat Pooltharat , but UAE kept them within sight with Jaen Botes try. Both teams were equally good in the first half until UAE got a penalty in the 35th minute. ​Thai youngster Nirun Sae-Ueng claimed his maiden Asian Development Tour (ADT) victory at the PGM Sabah Championship on Saturday after defeating reigning Order of Merit champion and countryman Pavit Tangkamolprasert on the first play-off hole. The 20-year-old Thai, who closed with a stunning seven-under-par 65, edged out Pavit on the 18th hole sudden-death shoot-out with a par after the duo tied on eight-under-par 280 in regulation play at the Sabah Golf and Country Club . Phachara Khongwatmai, the youngest winner on the ADT , ensured a strong Thai presence on the final leaderboard when he carded a 67 to share third place on 281 with overnight leader Danthai Boonma, who registered a 71, in the RM200,000 (approximately US$55,400) ADT event, which is the 10th leg of the ADT this season. One-time Asian Tour winner Ben Leong, who hails from Sabah, fired a 66 to emerge as the top Malaysian in fifth place on 284 while two other Thais, Pasamet Pogamnerd (68) and Sutijet Kooratanapisan (72)

PAHANG CLAIM NARROW WIN IN FIRST LEG OF FA CUP SEMI FINAL

​PIALA FA: PAHANG 1 - KELANTAN 0 FA Cup defending champions Pahang took a slim lead from the first leg semi-final match against Kelantan . The Elephants could only record a 1-0 win in the first 90 minutes at Darulmakmur Stadium on Saturday. Pahang had the better share of possession, but wasted too many chances. ​Argentine striker Matias Conti gave the home side an early lead after receiving a nicely set-up pass from Dickson Nwakaeme . The goal should have been the first of many goals for Pahang, but Kelantan's Khairul Fahmi Che Mat was at his best. PAHANG JUMPS TO THE TOP OF SUPER LEAGUE

​LIGA SUPER: PAHANG 1 - PERAK 0   Pahang moved to the top of Malaysia Super League after defeating Perak with 1-0 at Darulmakmur Stadium. Mathias Conti sealed the victory for the Tok Gajah in 70th minutes through penalty after a Perak player handled the ball inside the box, forcing the referee to point to the spot. Perak responded by pushing forward in the last twenty minutes hunting for an equalizer. But Pahang held on to protect their lead and ultimately clinch the win. With six wins and two draws from ten matches played, Pahang are now leading the way with 20 points two points ahead of second and third placed PDRM and JDT. Pahang coach, Zainal Abidin Hasan was full of praises for his team as this win will be a perfect tonic for the Tok Gajah for their upcoming match. LORENZO FLIES HIGH IN JEREZ

​​Jorge Lorenzo celebrates his 28th birthday in style after grabbing his first MotoGP win in 2015. The two time world champion powered his Yamaha to the chequered at Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez on Sunday. The Spaniard won the race with 5.576 second ahead of world champion Marc Marquez. Despite riding with a broken finger on his left hand, Marc Marquez manage to hold current series leader Valentino Rossi for the second spot. SOUTHERN TIGERS SNAP THREE POINTS OVER FELDA UNITED

​ ​LIGA SUPER: JOHOR DT 1 - FELDA UNITED 0 Johor Darul Takzim  (JDT) climbed four spots to occupy the second place in Malaysia Super League after beating Felda United 1-0. The result at the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium in Larkin saw JDT share same points (18) with the PDRM , but separated by goal difference. About 25,000 supporters turned up for the home game to see match. JDT were on attacking strategy from the kick-off. Safiq Rahim almost found the net in the 16th minute, but Mohd Farizal Harun was quick to stop him. ​Felda United held on brilliantly against the approaching Southern Tigers . However, Patricio Julian Rodriguez gave JDT the lead in the 45th minute from the penalty spot. The Argentine was fouled by Shahrul Mohd Saad . WU ASHUN CLAIMS 1ST EUROPEAN TOUR TITLE IN SHANGHAI

Wu Ashun claimed the Volvo China Open to become the first Chinese player to win a European Tour event on home soil. The 29 year old shot a closing 71 at Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Club to finish on nine under and denied a spirited challenge from England's David Howell  Wu and Howell started the day in a four-way tie for the lead with Li Hao-tong and defending champion Alex Levy. SABAH BOUNCE BACK TO STUN JDT II

​LIGA PERDANA: JDTII 2 - SABAH 4 Sabah stunned Johor DT II to claim three points from a MalaysiaPremier League match at MPPG Stadium on Friday. The homeside could not stop The Rhinos before going down 2-4. JDTII took the lead from the spot by Nicolas Delmonte just seven minutes after kick-off. Shafiq Shahrudin doubled JDTII's lead in the 21st minute after intercepting a pass from skipper Shaharil Ishak . Sabah finally found their touch in the 40th minute. Zulfadhli Muhamad failed to control El Hadji Diouf 's attempt and Abdoulaye Diagne Faye took the opportunity to give the visitor a fighting chance. TEAM MALAYSIA READY FOR ASIAN RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP

​The Malaysian Rugby will be competing against some of the best team in the region at the 2015  Asian Rugby Championship . Playing as host nation, the team has been preparing for the tournament since the beginning of April 2015. A total of 48 players has been called up after the Malaysia Rugby Super League (MRSL) ended in March. The players are currently attending centralised training under the coach Lee Nyuk Fah and team manager, Raimi . The number of players is reduced to 32 players before finalising the 25 players squad. Japan based professional, Dineshwaran Krishnan has also returned and will team up with the stars of MRSL to carry the national duties at the championship.   Malaysia will host the Asian Rugby Championship on 10-16 May 2015. The venue of the tournament will be at the MBPJ Stadium in Kelana Jaya.
