JOHOR FIGHT BACK TO CLINCH THE AGONG'S CUP

PIALA AGONG: TERENGGANU 29 - JOHOR 32 Johor bounced back in the last forty minutes to claim their second Agong's Cup title. The 2013 Champions staged an amazing comeback to beat Terengganu 32-29 at the Gong Badak Stadium on Saturday. It was another nail-biting match as it always happened in the Agong's Cup final. Terengganu started-off like a winner as they went 17-0 up after 22 minutes. Three tries by Timoci Vunimoku , Sevanaia Natuitagalua Naitonicagi , and a conversion by Muhammad Faizal Md Tahir produced exciting moments for the home crowd. Johor finally settled in at the half-hour mark with a try by Waqaliva Jone Vucukula and conversion by Wan Mohd Asyraff Norudin . The first half ended with Terengganu holding the lead 17-7. MAF BLACKHAWKS WIN KL LEAGUE DII TITLE

KL RUGBY LEAGUE: MAF 34 - SKIRA EAGLES 17 Malaysian Air Force (MAF) displayed a superior performance in the final to claim the Kuala Lumpur Rugby League Division II title. The Blackhawks beat Skira Eagles 34-17 at TUDM Bellamy Rugby Field on Saturday. MAF started-off well with a try by Khairol Hanif Abdul Kudus , before Rostam Tugiman scored a conversion and two penalties in the first half. A converted try by Muhammad Hamdani Ahmad and a penalty by Muhamad Fikri Abdullah kept the Eagles chances alive at half time. The Blackhawks got better after the break. Three tries by Mohd Zulhafizi Che Din , Mohd Hazuwan Zakeri , Redzuan Mohd Syarif , and three successful conversions by Rostam Tugiman put them closer to the title. Skira could only make one try through Mohamad Safwan Amir , and a conversion by Muhammad Suffi Mustaqim Othman in the second half. PERAK CLAIM THIRD PLACE IN AGONG'S CUP

PIALA AGONG: PERAK 16 - KEDAH 14 Perak finished their 2017 Agong's Cup campaign at third place after edging Kedah team 16-14 on Saturday. The win did not come easy for the 2016 champions as Kedah gave a good fight right to the end. Perak had a good start as they went in front with a penalty by Mohd Amir Aswad Mat Saad in the 18th minute. They increased the advantage right before the break with a try by Muhammad Harith Iqbal Muhd Anhar and conversion by Mohd Amir. Kedah came back stronger in the second half. They pumped the pressure on their opponent and got a penalty try in the 53rd minute. Perak responded with a susccesful penalty by Muhammad Harith in the 66th minute. Kedah took over the lead with just ten minutes left to play. Iliesa Lesumaitahiti Tiqe 's try and a conversion by Mohd Fairuz Ab Rahman gave them a narrow 14-13 lead. YUSOF WINS TERENGGANU F3000 POWERBOAT CHAMPIONSHIP

Dungun born, Yusof Abu Bakar won the first series of the F3000 Powerboat International Championship in Kuala Terengganu on Saturday. Yusof drove his D'Dalima claimed his first ever victory in Powerboat competition after failing in a number of races before. It is his first race at home, and he nailed it with fastest time despite challenges from many experience drivers there. He bagged MYR20,000 and a trophy for his incredible achievement. Nordin Mohamad from the Brunei Team claimed the second place, and Zulfaqa Ramli from Johor's ZRZZ Racing Team took the third place. Both of them bagged MYR15,000 and MYR10,000 respectively. Kuala Terengganu District Officer, Mohd Yasim Awang gave out the prizes to the winners. TERENGGANU CRUISE INTO AGONG'S CUP FINAL

PIALA AGONG: TERENGGANU 29 - KEDAH 19 Terengganu reached the Agong's Cup final after defeating Kedah 29-19 on Thursday. The East Coast team were clearly the superior team as they destroyed Kedah's cup dream. Terengganu took the lead just after four minutes into the game through Muhammad Faizal Md Tahir 's penalty. Mohd Akmal Abd Manaf brought Kedah back into the game with a try in the 15th minute. Mohd Fairuz Ab Rahman scored the conversion to give his team the lead. Five minutes later, Terengganu were back in the driving seat again. Three tries in six minutes by Mohd Alif Al-Hafiz Abd Karim , Muhammad Faris Abdillah , Sevanaia Natuitagalua gave Terengganu a comfortable 22-7 advantage at half time. JOHOR STUN PERAK IN AGONG'S CUP SEMIFINALS

PIALA AGONG: PERAK 19 - JOHOR 26 Johor stunned defending champions Perak in the Agong's Cup last four to secure a place in the final. The underdog from the south claimed a marvelous 26-19 victory over the 2016's winner at the Gong Badak Stadium on Thursday. Both team were almost equally good in the first forty minutes. However, a try by Aitui Nissan at the half-hour mark handed Johor the advantage. Wan Mohd Asyraf Norudin made no mistake from the spot to give his team the seven points advantage at the break. The game became more exciting in the second half. Four minutes after the match resumed, Rusiate Nasove made a try for Perak to reduce the deficit. Johor replied with a try by Mohd Fitri Abdullah in the 48th minute. Muhammad Farid Mohd Fauzi gave Perak another five points in the 58th minute, before Mohd Amir Aswad Mat Saad added two more from the conversion. PERAK, JOHOR SET-UP SEMIFINAL CLASH IN AGONG'S CUP

Perak are on course to retain the Agong's Cup title after edging Sabah 27-20 in the quarterfinals. The defending champions displayed a good performance to deny Sabah's hope for another semifinal appearance. Muhammad Harith Iqbal Muhd Anhar , Rusiate Nasone , Timoci Tavuto , scored three tries, and Mohd Amir Aswad Mat Saad scored three conversions and two penalties to keep Perak title defence mission alive. Sabah gave a good fight in the second half, but Perak held on with good controls of the game. In another quarterfinals match, Johor clinched a place in the last four after beating Negeri Sembilan 38-18 at UPM on Monday. Negeri Sembilan got a good start in the first 10 minutes, but Johor bounced back take charge of the game. Johor went into the break with 21-10 advantage. Negeri Sembilan played their best in the second half, but Johor were the better side for the semifinals. TERENGGANU, KEDAH MARCH INTO AGONG'S CUP SEMIFINALS

Terengganu booked a place in the Agong's Cup last four after defeating neighbour, Kelantan 43-26 at Kelana Jaya Stadium on Monday. The East Coast clash saw Terengganu taking control in both halves. Two tries by Aliff Sazrie lifted his team to a 22-13 lead over Kelantan before the break. Kelantan had a tougher time in the second half. Three more tries by Mohamad Norazman Ramli , Sevanaia Natuitagalua and Lawrence Petrus sealed the victory for Terengganu. Kedah ended Sarawak 's campaign with a convincing 61-12 win in another quarterfinals match. Sarawak making their first return into the competition after three years, could not stop the star-studded Kedah. After taking a massive 29-7 lead in the first forty minutes, Kedah showed no mercy after break to claim the huge victory. Australian Jason Norris kept his cool to sign for a closing five-under-par 67, claiming the biggest victory yet in his 21-year professional career with a convincing four-shot victory at the tri-sanctioned Fiji International on Sunday. MALAYSIA CREATE HISTORY BY WINNING FIRST MEN RUGBY GOLD AT SEA GAMES

Malaysia completed a brilliant year in Rugby as they won the men rugby gold medal at the SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur. Three months after claiming their second consecutive Asia Rugby Championship Division One title, the Malaysia 7's team took their turn and produced a spectacular performance to capture their first ever gold in rugby. The Malaysia 7's team had a great start on the first day as they won all their round-robin matches, including wins over Singapore 12-10 and 2015 Gold Medalist, Philippines 24-14. However, they had a nervy start on the final day as they lose to Thailand in the morning but recovered with a 75-0 thrashing of Indonesia in the last group match. Malaysia topped the table sharing same points with Singapore and Thailand . But Thailand were out of the final because of the score difference. THAILAND WOMEN CLAIM GOLD IN SEA GAMES WOMEN RUGBY

Thailand women's rugby team underlined their supremacy over Singapore by beating them 17-10 in the SEA Games final at Kelana Jaya Stadium on Sunday. It was a rematch of the 2015 final, but Thai's women proved that they are a class above the rest of South East Asia teams. After winning the SEA Sevens in Singapore earlier this year, Thailand were the favourite to retain the gold medal which they have won two years ago in Singapore. The Thai Women had a great start with a big win over the Philippines in the opening match on the first day. They went on to win all the group matches including their biggest, 49-0 win over Lao . Singapore finished second in the group and set-up a final showdown against the Thais for the prestigious Gold medal. However, the invincible Thailand Women cruised to victory with a 17-10 final score. It was hearts-breaking endings in the Singapore camp as both their Men and Women teams reached the SEA Games finals, but finished as second best.

SILVERMAN 2017 BRINGS MANJUNG TO LIFE

The inaugural Silverman Duathlon and Half Marathon set the town of Lumut, its outskirts, and the district of Manjung abuzz, as close to 1000 participants from 12 countries converged there over the weekend. PERAK MOVE TO THE TOP AFTER IMPRESSIVE WIN OVER ATM

Perak started their Agong's Cup 2017 campaign with a victory over the ATM . The Defending Champions were in complete control of the match at The Esplanade, Taiping before claiming a deserving 20-8 win over the Armed Forces. ATM stunned the home side with an early penalty scored by Shafee Burhanalis . However, Perak were quick to react. Muhammad Harith Iqbal Muhd Anhar got a try two minutes later. The Armed Forces were hard to break, but Perak got through with another try by Veniona Vukinagauna in the 31st minute. Mohd Amir Aswad Mat Saad scored the conversion to give Perak a steady 12-3 advantage at halftime. ATM came on impressively after the break. They got a try five minutes after the match resumed through Lailatul Norazlee Shaari . Perak responded with a successful penalty in the 54th minute by Mohd Amir Aswad . POOM WINS TAKE SOLUTIONS MASTERS

Poom Saksansin of Thailand completed a convincing wire-to-wire victory after defeating home favourite Khalin Joshi by two shots at the inaugural TAKE Solutions Masters on Sunday. The 24-year-old Poom never lost his lead on the last day as he returned with a four-under-par 67 to claim his second Asian Tour title with a winning total of 16-under-par 268 at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) Golf Course. Joshi, who hails from Bengaluru and grew up playing golf at KGA, battled tooth-and-nail before settling for second place following a round of 67. Three bogeys in a round of seven birdies dashed his hopes for a first Asian Tour title. Ajeetesh Sandhu (66) of India finished a further shot back in lone third place on 274 while Rory Hie of Indonesia, Divyanshu Bajaj and Abhinav Lohan of India settled for fourth at the US$300,000 Asian Tour event. UITM SIMBA CLINCH BACK-TO-BACK VICTORY AT BALIK PULAU 10'S

UiTM Simba became the first women team to win back-to-back at the Balik Pulau 10's Rugby Tournament. After winning their first in 2016, the Simba girls came back and produced another good run at the Politeknik Balik Pulau. They beat Cobra Venom 10-0 in the Cup final. UPSI claimed the plate title as they beat MSP 10-0 in their last match. In the veteran category, Old Edwardians took the cup after a very tight final against the Buttercookies . The Cup Final match ended with a 7-7 score, but the Edwardians sealed it in the sudden death. Storm bagged the Plate title after beating SAJOHA . Aqua Jitra Oldboys edged JKR Perak to clinch the Club category, while Kuala Muda RC beat UTP Drillers to claim the Plate title.
