VETTEL CLINCHES FOURTH WORLD TITLE

Sebastian Vettel wins his fourth consecutive world title with victory at the Indian Grand Prix . The German, 26, had a perfect race in his Red Bull 's machine to secure his sixth consecutive victory this season and become only the fourth man in history to win four titles. The victory put him with legends Juan Manuel Fangio , Alain Prost and Michael Schumacher as a four-time champion. Vettel's Red Bull team also won the Formula 1 constructors' championship for the fourth consecutive year. The triumph keeps Vettel on target to equal the all-time record of nine consecutive F1 race wins. He is six years younger than Schumacher was when he became a four-time champion in 2001 and having good chances of eclipsing his compatriot's record of seven world titles in the coming years. RYAN MOORE CAPTURES CIMB CLASSIC 2013

He set a new course record on the first day at KLGCC with 9-under 63. He was the joint leaders in three out of four days playing in this tournament. No doubt, Ryan Moore is the deserving champions at the 2013 CIMB Classic , even though it has to be decided in a playoff. Ryan Moore and Gary Woodland have to return for a sudden-death playoff on Monday after they completed four rounds at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club tied at 14-under. Moore hit an 8-iron to 3-feet. After Woodland's chip from just off the green came up short, Moore made his birdie putt to secure his third PGA Tour victory. At 30 years, 10 months and 21 days, Moore is the youngest winner in the history of the event and the fourth consecutive winner in his 30s at the CIMB Classic joining Ben Crane , Bo Van Pelt and Nick Watney . It is also his 40th career top-10 finish and the result moves him up to number 2 in the FedExCup leaderboard.  Monday was also Gary Woodland's second career runner-

IT'S PAHANG - KELANTAN FINAL!

MALAYSIA CUP: SARAWAK 1(2) - PAHANG 1(4) Pahang qualified to the 2013 Malaysia Cup Final with a 4-2 aggregate win over Sarawak on Saturday night. Both team were tied 1-1 in the second leg match at the Stadium Negeri , Kuching. However, Pahang had the advantage after winning 3-1 in Kuantan last week.   Sarawak players were in control on their home pitch. Bobby Gonzales opened the scoring for Sarawak in the 32nd minute. But, the hunt for more goals was never stop. Though, Pahang defended well to keep the score until the break. The second half saw Sarawak continued their attacking play against the visitors. But Pahang was hard to break, and they got the equaliser in the 74th minute when Fauzi Roslan found the net. Pahang held on with the result which send them to the final match against Kelantan at the Shah Alam Stadium on 3rd November. WOODLAND AND MOORE TIED FOR PLAY-OFF

After four days of great golf, the 2013 CIMB Classic is not over yet. Two players were tied with 14-under and have to play the sudden-death playoff on a fifth day. Gary Woodland carded 3-under 69 on on Sunday, while Ryan Moore carded 2-under 70 to make them tied at 274.  The fourth day at  Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club is the most challenging day in the CIMB Classic history. The day started sunny, before the play was delayed at 1.22pm due to a dangerous situation and heavy rain with 45 players still on the course. The back nine was filled with suspense as the names atop the leaderboard kept shuffling up and down. Players were back on the ground at 4.27pm, but the play was suspended again for a second time at 5.20pm due to an additional dangerous situation with nine players on the course. NEYMAR HELPS BARCA TO WIN EL CLASICO PART I

SPANISH PRIMERA DIVISIÓN: BARCELONA 2 - REAL MADRID 1 Barcelona sinks Real Madrid for the first El Clasico for 2013-2014 seasons. Barca shows Real Madrid that they are still the favorites to win the La Liga title by beating Carlo Anceloti 's superstar 2 – 1 at Nou Camp today. Barcelona new wonder boy, Neymar open an account for his first El Classico match in 19 minutes after receiving a thru pass from Andreas Iniesta on a left side which has beaten Real Madrid defender before the ball was deflected and went straight at the corner of the net. A minute later, Messi almost make it 2-0 after his shot just miss the post with only left the goal keeper to beat. Real Madrid came up with the best chance in 25 minute but a Gareth Bale volley just going wide. The match ended 1-0 until halftime. Barcelona made a few changes in 2nd half and it pays after Alexis Sanchez makes it 2-0 with a good volley after overtaking two of Real Madrid defenders in 78th minutes

STROUD, MOORE SHARE TOP SPOT AT CIMB CLASSIC

Chris Stroud shot a third-round 4-under-par 68 to move into a tie for the lead at 12-under with Ryan Moore in the CIMB Classic at KLGCC , Kuala Lumpur. Playing in his 194th career event on the PGA Tour , this is the first time that Stroud has led or shared the lead through 54 holes. Moore started the day with 9 under opened up a three-shot lead on the back nine only to bogey four of five holes to give it right back. Both were on 12-under 204. Stroud, who was five strokes behind overnight leader Keegan Bradley after the second round, surged into contention after five birdies on the front nine before hitting into the water on the 12th hole and carding two bogeys for a 4-under 68. Though, the score is pretty close as both leaders are closely followed by Gary Woodland  and Kiradech Aphibarnrat who are sharing T3 with 11-under. RED WARRIORS STAGE LATE FIGHTBACK TO ENTER FINAL

MALAYSIA CUP: KELANTAN 2(4) - ATM 2(3) Kelantan proved why they are still the Malaysia powerhouse of football after showing an amazing fightback which took them into the Malaysia Cup final again. The Red Warriors looked dead and buried when ATM's  Marlon Alex James scored 2 goals in the first half of the Malaysia Cup semi final second leg match in Kota Bharu . The goals stunned the 30000 crowd and put Kelantan into a deep pressure. Despite winning 2-1 in the first leg match at Selayang Stadium last week, Kelantan now need to respond with at least 2 goals in the remaining 45 minutes. The Red Warriors doubled their efforts in the second half but ATM had expected it. ATM denied a series of attacks by the home side. The CIMB Classic received a surprise spectator on Saturday as Malaysia's Prime Minister Dato' Sri Najib Razak took some of his time to watch the ongoing tournament at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club ( KLGCC ). A tremendous show of putting prowess at Hole 14 by Phil Mickelson , Boo Weekley and Charles Howell III captures the attention of Malaysia's Prime Minister Dato' Sri Najib Razak along with Dato' Sri Nazir Razak , Group Chief Executive, CIMB Group (left) and Tan Sri Dato' Seri Shahril Shamsuddin (centre). KEEGAN BRADLEY TAKES THE LEAD IN KUALA LUMPUR

Keegan Bradley took over the lead in the CIMB Classic today after making 14 birdies and just one bogey over 36 holes played. The 27-year old American first 36-hole total of 131 is two off his career-best 129 at the 2013 HP Byron Nelson Championship that featured a first-round 60. Bradley is a three-time PGA Tour winner, including the 2011 PGA Championship . His last victory came at the 2012 World Golf Championships-Bridgestone . The 2011 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year is making his first appearance at the CIMB Classic.   First day leader, Ryan Moore completed his second day at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club ( KLGCC ) with a par 72. He failed to repeat the stunning 9-under par 63 in the first round. RYAN MOORE LEADS IN KUALA LUMPUR AFTER SETTING NEW COURSE RECORD

In his third appearance at CIMB Classic , Ryan Moore took the lead at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club ( KLGCC ) after setting a new course record with 9-under-63. After a bogey start at first hole, the two time winner of PGA Tour recovered with birdies at all four par-3s. Moore is so delighted with his current form where he recorded 4 twos in a single championship round.    At the end of the first day, three time PGA Winner Keegan Bradley is just 2 strokes behind the leader while eight time PGA winner Sergio Garcia made a late charge to stay just a single stroke behind Bradley. Tournament favourite, Phil Mickelson could only settle with 1 under 71. The American is the highest ranked player in the field. ADAM SCOTT SETS NEW COURSE RECORD TO WIN GRAND SLAM

Adam Scott won the PGA Grand Slam of Golf with a new course record at Port Royal 7-under 64. The Masters champion claimed victory with two shots over U.S. Open champion Justin Rose . Scott trailed by 4 shots with 10 holes to play. He eagled at 17th hole to overtake Rose. The Australian finished at 8-under 134 to collect the pink jacket to go along with the green jacket he won at Augusta. Scott used a 6-iron which was also used on the second playoff hole at Augusta National when he defeated Angel Cabrera . PGA champion Jason Dufner , who started two shots behind, fell off the pace quickly. He closed with a 70 to finish alone in third, five shots behind. Padraig Harrington , a three-time major winner, shot 71 and finished eight behind. Scott also earned an honorary membership at Port Royal for setting the new course record. PAHANG TAKES FRONT SEAT

MALAYSIA CUP: PAHANG 3 - SARAWAK 1 Pahang snatched an early advantage in the Malaysia Cup semi-finals with a 3-1 win over Sarawak in the first leg match at the Darul Makmur Stadium on Saturday night. It was a deserving victory for The Elephants who played confidently from the start of the first half. They found the net three times in 10 minutes. Mohd Azamuddin Akil ( Alex ) opened the scoring in the 29th minute before he added his second of the night in the 33rd minutes. The visitor tried to raise their games after the second goal. However, Argentinian Matias Conti scored a wonder goal to give the home side a comfortable 3-0 lead in the 38th minute. Sarawak did not give up and responded to the pressure. A deflected effort from Mohd Shahrol Saperi in the 40th minute kept Premier League champions Sarawak in contention for the return leg which takes place on Oct 26 at the State Stadium in Kuching . UPHILL TASK FOR ATM AS KELANTAN WINS FIRST LEG

MALAYSIA CUP: ATM 1 - KELANTAN 2 Kelantan took a big step in the Malaysia Cup semi-final after a 2-1 win over ATM at the Selayang Stadium tonight. The defending champions will only need just a draw in the second leg match in Kota Bharu to qualify into the final. Kelantan looked very confident from the start despite playing an away game. Meanwhile ATM was without suspended central defender Amirizdwan Taj Tajuddin . It took just 15 minutes for Kelantan's skipper, Mohd Badhri Radzi to punish the home side unsettled defence. The goal increased the pressure on ATM. However, Christie Jayaseelan equalised four minutes later. WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: ENGLAND 2 - POLAND 0 Wayne Rooney scored his scored his ninth goal in 10 games to place England on the right direction to World Cup 2014 , and Steven Gerrard added a second to send a warning to other qualified nation how dangerous the Three Lions can be in Brazil .  It was a breathless and at times nerve-jangling confrontation with Poland at Wembley. Though, England finally got a relief when Rooney scored from Leighton Baines ' cross four minutes before the break. There were more than 20,000 strong Polish supporter in the stadium to make the home team feel a little nervous. England were then spurning a succession of chances. It took a captain's intervention from Gerrard two minutes from time to ensure England will take their place on the greatest stage next summer. CHARL SHWARTZEL PIP DARREN CLARKE TO WIN CHINA MASTERS

Charl Schwartzel claims the China Masters after closing with a 4-under 68 to deny Darren Clarke first victory since 2011 Open Championship . The South African had a 9-under 279 total on Nanshan International's Montgomerie Course . He earned $180,000 in the OneAsia Tour event. Clarke held the lead for much of the round after Liang Wen-Chong , who shared the overnight lead with the Ulsterman, bogeyed the fourth and five holes before Clarke birdied the sixth to get to nine under. The 2011 Masters winner, Schwartzel posted the pressure on the final pair when he birdied 12, 15 and 16 and parred in to set the clubhouse target at eight under. He mastered tricky conditions on the final day over the Montgomerie Course to close with a four-under 68 and pip Clarke and defending champion Liang by a single shot. JIMMY WALKER ENDS DROUGHT BY TAKING FRYS.COM TITLE

After 7 years and 187 tournaments, Jimmy Walker finally won on the PGA Tour . Tied for the lead with four holes to play Sunday, Walker rolled in a 6-foot birdie putt on the 15th hole to take the lead for good in the Frys.com Open . Three closing pars for a 5-under 66 turned out to be more than enough for the 34-year-old Texan to take home a trophy and plenty of perks. Walker is going to the Masters for the first time, along with a trip to Maui for the Tournament of Championship . He also cracked the top 50 for the first time in his career. The Frys.com Open is the season opener in the new PGA Tour schedule, which starts in October instead of January for the first time in history. Instead of a Fall Series event where players mainly were trying to make money to keep their cards, the tournament offered all the perks of any other regular PGA Tour event. PEDROSA BEAT MARQUEZ FOR MALAYSIAN MOTO GP WIN

Dani Pedrosa of Spain won his second consecutive Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday but his Honda team mate Marc Márquez finished second to extend his lead in the MotoGP title race. Honda 's Pedrosa climbed from fifth on the grid to win and move 11 points behind second-placed Jorge Lorenzo overall. The Spaniard swept past pole-sitter Márquez at the start before overtaking world champion Jorge Lorenzo for first place on lap five and leading the field home by 2.757 secs for his third victory of the season. Márquez, though, prevailed in a fierce battle with Lorenzo, passing the Yamaha rider with 11 laps of the sweeping Sepang International Circuit remaining to claim the 20 points awarded for second place. Lorenzo finished third. Rookie Márquez leads the riders' standings on 298 points, 43 clear of Lorenzo (255) with Pedrosa third on 244. MOTO GP: ZULFAHMI FIGHTS PAIN TO START FROM 14TH SPOT

Local star, Zulfahmi Khairuddin completed the qualifying session of the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix on a good note despite only securing 14th spot on the starting grid. The Malaysian rider clocked 2:15.474 at the Sepang International Circuit on Saturday. He is just 1.607 seconds behind pole sitter and Red Bull KTM Ajo team-mate Luis Salom , who recorded 2:13.867. The 22-year-old took the pole position here last year. But this round, he is still recovering from by a fractured wrist and aching back which had affected his timing. Though, Zulfahmi is very positive and expect to feel a lot better on Sunday. The heavy morning rain made it difficult for most riders. They have to choose wet tyres during the start of the afternoon qualifying session because of several patches on the track. Andros Townsend rewarded the faith of boss Roy Hodgson by scoring to help the Three Lions to a deserving 4-1 victory over Montenegro that leaves them just one more win away from booking their place in Brazil . England opened the scoring in the 48th minute as Wayne Rooney finishes from close range after Poleksic 's excellent stop from Danny Welbeck . Rooney stuck out a leg, brought the ball under control and from a central position calmly slotted it in. The Three Lions got another goal in the 62nd minutes from comical own-goal from Boskovic as he puts Welbeck's cross past his own keeper. SACHIN TENDULKAR TO RETIRE AFTER 200TH TEST MATCH

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has announced that he will retire from international cricket after making his 200th Test appearance against West Indies next month. The India greatest hero issued a statement through the BCCI confirming he will call time on his glittering career following the second Test against the West Indies, which starts on 14 November 2013. The 40-year-old Tendulkar will become the first player in history to take the field for 200 Test matches before bringing the curtain down on his 24-year international career. The record-breaking batsman was just 16 when he made his Test debut against Pakistan in 1989, and he announced himself to the world stage in England the following summer with a number of superb innings, including his maiden century at Old Trafford . US TEAM WINS THE PRESIDENTS CUP AGAIN

PRESIDENTS CUP: USA 18 1/2 - INTERNATIONALS 15 1/2 The Presidents Cup ended just the way it always does. Tiger Woods have to battle a backache before sealing another American win over the International Team. It's the third winning point delivered by him in three consecutive Presidents Cup, and also the third year the US team are captained by Fred Couples . The Americans finished strong in the foursomes sessions for a commanding 14-8 lead, only needed to win 4 of the 12 singles matches. Despite the strong lead, it was tougher for the US Team in the single matches. The International team took 6 of the first 9 matches and closed the gap to just three points.  As the Americans needed just one more win, spotlight was on Tiger Woods again. KELANTAN SENDS JDT PACKED WITH 6-1

MALAYSIA CUP: KELANTAN 6 - JDT 1 Defending champions, Kelantan destroyed Johor DT 's hope to lift a first trophy this season by winning 6-1 in the Malaysia Cup quarter final second leg match tonight. The match at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium sent Kelantan into the semi final stage with 8-5 aggregate. Kelantan needed just a 2-0 win before the match, but the Red Warriors were too powerful on their home pitch where JDT couldn't hold on. The home side started perfectly in the hunt for goals as they were in complete control throughout the match. Mohd Norfarhan opened the scoring in the 19th minute after receiving a pass from Dickson Nwakaeme . The home fans were on their feet again when Mohd Badhri Radzi scored their second goal to level the aggregate 4-4 with the advantage of 2 away goals scored in Johor last week. PAHANG MARCHES ON, PKNS WALKS OUT

MALAYSIA CUP: PKNS 1 - PAHANG 2 PKNS desire to overturn the 2-3 aggregates from the first leg quarter-final match in Kuantan last week end with a disaster as they lost again 1-2 to Pahang at Shah Alam Stadium tonight. Despite PKNS pressures to find an early goal, Pahang seemed calm overcoming the home side's threats.  As both sides trying to conquer the ground, Pahang was awarded a penalty when Mathias Conti was brought down by Ahmad Azlan Zainal . Conti himself converted the penalty by sending Mohd Remezy to the wrong side. PKNS increased their attacks, but Pahang held on until half-time break. Second half turned on with PKNS continuous attacks into the Pahang area. PKNS had a few shots towards Pahang goal, but it was Pahang who found the net again in the 59th minute. ATM SHOWS LIONS XII THE EXIT

MALAYSIA CUP: ATM 4 - LIONS 1 ATM cruises into the Malaysia Cup semi final after defeating Lions XII 4-1 at Selayang Stadium tonight. Marlon Alex James was the hero of the night as he scored a hattrick against the Singapore team. It was a great performance by B. Sathianathan 's squad to overcome the 1-0 first leg defeat on the Lions' artificial grass. ATM got an early lead from an own goal by Hariss Harun 's misclearance which bounced-off his own goalkeeper in the 22nd minute. Marlon doubled the lead 10 minutes later with a brilliant finishing from Hairuddin Omar 's through ball. Lions were back in the competition after the break when Hafiz Abu Sujad found the net in the 49th minute. The ATM were not down yet despite knowing that the Lions are ahead with an away goal. TIGER WOODS VOTED PGA TOUR PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2013

Forget the critics, Tiger Woods is the PGA Tour Player of the Year Award again. This time he win it over Henrik Stenson , Phil Mickelson , Matt Kuchar and Adam Scott . For the records, Woods won five of the 16 tournaments he played this season and finished in the top 10 in three others. The American wins included the Arnold Palmer Invitational , Farmers Insurance Open , Players Championship , Cadillac Championship and Bridgestone Invitational . But the most significant win of the season was at the Players Championship. In total, Woods has won the award for 11 times although this is his first since 2009 when he won six times in 17 starts. 11 is by far the most PGA Tour Player of the Year Awards won by a single golfer. Second most is two by both Fred Couples and Nick Price . The award has been given out since 1990.
