SABAH LIFT THE PRESTIGIOUS AGONG'S CUP AGAIN

Sabah edged Kelantan 47-45 in the final to win their fifth Agong's Cup . It was a very dramatic finale at the UPNM Stadium as Kelantan's went all out to end their their six-year title drought. But Sabah were also determined to win, and they were better than the last edition . With former All Black player Charles Luke McAlister , vice-captain Nathanael Tan and fly half substitute Fijian Serupepeli Naqasima in the line-up, Sabah got no reason to fail this time. They opened the scoring inside the first minute with a try by Mohamad Safwan Abdullah . However Kelantan bounced back and scored three tries through Mohamad Ikwan Akmal , Zulkiflee Azmi and Wan Azley Wan Omar . The East Coast team took a 24-20 halftime lead. VIETNAM BREAK MALAYSIA'S HEART TO WIN SECOND AFF CUP

Vietnam ended their ten years wait to win the AFF Suzuki Cup after beating Malaysia 1-0 in the tournament’s final second-leg at  My Dinh Stadium . After the 2-2 draw in the first leg at the National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Vietnam carried two away goals advantage for the final 90 minutes in Hanoi. Nguyen Anh Duc turned hero for the home side as he scored the only goal in the sixth minute after receiving a cross from midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai. Malaysia pressed for an equaliser but the score remained until the final whistle. Vietnam survived the thrilling encounter with a deserving 1-0 victory. They are officially the champions of AFF Suzuki Cup 2018, beating Malaysia 3-2 on aggregate after the two legs. DAVETA RUGBY CLUB RETAIN COBRA 10'S CROWN

Daveta Rugby Club successfully retained the Cobra 10's title at the MBPJ Stadium, Malaysia on Sunday. The Cup Final match against New Zealand's Global Barbarians was stopped due to lightning storm, and The Fijians were declared as the winner based on points accumulated in the group stage. Daveta topped Group A with 140 points while Global Barbarians had 59 points in Group D. Daveta hammered Varsity Vipers 54-5 in the last four to reach the final, while Global Barbarians beat Canberra Barbarians 12-7 to challenge for the title. A total of 15 teams from Malaysia, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Scotland and South Africa took part in the 48th edition of the Cobra 10's.  SA Tigers of South Africa claimed the Plate title after defeating Projecx Waterboys from Scotland 14-10. UNBEATEN MALAYSIA WIN ASIA RUGBY U18 BOYS SEVENS

Malaysia displayed a stunning performance to win the Asia Rugby Under-18 Boys 7's at the EduCity Stadium , Malaysia. The victory proved that they are one of the best in the region when it comes to age group competitions. The Malaysian boys kicked-start the first day of the tournament with three comfortable wins over Hong Kong (31-5), South Korea (47-5) and Laos (53-0). On the second day, they recorded another three wins against Qatar (34-0), Uzbekistan (40-0), and the strongest opponent, China (19-17). Malaysia completed their round-robin format with 100 percent record and collected 18 points. The boys scored 224 and conceded just 27 in six matches. China and Hong Kong collected 15 points each. MALAYSIA STUN THAILAND TO TAKE AFF CUP FINAL SPOT

Malaysia pulled a surprise in the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Cup by holding Thailand to a 2-2 draw at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok. The Harimau Malaya fought back to win with away goals after being held 0-0 in the first leg at the National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia's goals were scored by Syahmi Safari and Norshahrul Idlan Talaha while Thailand's goals came from Irfan Zakaria 's own goal and Pansa Hemviboon . The home side could have won the match after Syahmi gave away a penalty in the third minute of injury time, but Adisak Kraisorn skied his penalty. That miss was a great relief for Tan Cheng Hoe 's side and as they held on to the result to qualify for the final. Malaysia will face either Vietnam or the Philippines in a two-legged final on December 11 and 15. Malaysia last qualified for the final in 2014 but lost to Thailand via a 4-3 aggregate in a two-legged final.

MALAYSIA CRUISE INTO AFF CUP SEMIFINALS

Malaysia sealed their place in the Asean Football Federation Championship semifinals after a 3-0 win over Myanmar . The victory ensures the Harimau Malaya to join the tournament's last four alongside favourites Vietnam . Vietnam finished top of group A thanks to a comfortable 3-0 win over already-eliminated Cambodia while a brace from Zaquan Adha following Nohshahrul Idlan Talaha 's opener earned the Malaysians second place as a result of an impressive performance against Myanmar. Myanmar needed only a draw to progress but, in front of a vociferous crowd at Kuala Lumpur's Bukit Jalil Stadium, the home side made most of the early running and it came as little surprise when Nohshahrul put Malaysia in front. GOOD START FOR MALAYSIA IN AFF SUZUKI CUP

Malaysia get off to a winning start in the AFF Suzuki Cup when they beat Cambodia 1-0 at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh today. Norshahrul Idlan Talaha turned out as hero for the Harimau Malaya with the solitary goal in the 30th minute. Malaysia who had beaten Cambodia 3-2 in the previous AFF Cup meeting, ranked 169 in the world while Cambodia are at 170. The visitors had a difficult time in the first ten minutes, but settled down as the match progressed. With five attacking players in Tan Cheng Hoe 's line-up, Malaysia were determined to get a win in Cambodia. Norshahrul finally found the net on the half-hour mark to put Malaysia in front. Cambodia came back stronger after the break. They increased the tempo in search for an equaliser. But Malaysia defended solidly to keep the score until the final whistle. PERAK LIFT MALAYSIA CUP TITLE AFTER DRAMATIC COMEBACKS

Perak won their eighth Malaysia Cup title to end their 18-year wait, after a dramatic final against Terengganu . The Bos Gaurus beat Terengganu 4-1 in a penalty shoot-out as both team were tied with 3-3 after extra time. Perak goalkeeper Muhammad Hafizul Hakim Khairul Nizam Jothy turned hero for his team as he made two saves in the shoot-out. Kipre Tchetche scored two goals in the first half for Terengganu after two defensive errors by defender Mohd Idris Ahmad and Muhammad Hafizul . Trailing Terengganu 0-2, Perak came back stronger in the second half. Muhammad Firdaus Sayadi found the net for his team in the 46th minute to take Perak back into the title race. After that, both teams were reduced to playing with 10 men at the Shah Alam Stadium. MALAYSIA CLINCH ASIA RUGBY WOMEN SEVENS TROPHY

Malaysia pulled of a stunning performance to create history by winning the Asia Rugby Women Sevens Trophy . The Malaysian women beat Philippines 10-7 in the final at the Penaga Club, Brunei and earn the promotion into the Asian Rugby Women Sevens Series next year. After finishing third in the tournament last year, the Malaysian set a target to go one better this year. Nur Zieeyah Jerry and Nurul Azreen Azli scored two tries in the final to help Malaysia win the title. Nurul Azreen was the star of the team after contributing six tries in the two-day tournament. Malaysia beat Uzbekistan 5-0 in the semifinals to set-up the final showdown against the Philippines, who defeated Guam in the last four. MARC LEISHMAN CRUISES TO CIMB CLASSIC VICTORY

Marc Leishman  won the  CIMB Classic  in style for his fourth  US PGA Tour  title. The Australian carded a final-round 7-under 65 to equal the tournament's lowest overall score of 26-under 262 at the  TPC Kuala Lumpur  on Sunday. The 34-years-old completed his final round with four shots clear from second-placed trio  Emiliano Grillo  of Argentina and American duo  Cheeson Hadley  and  Bronson Burgoon . Leishman took home US$1.26mil for the victory and moved up to No. 2 in the  FedEx Cup  standings. JAPAN IS THE ASIA RUGBY SEVENS CHAMPIONS

Japan  proved that they are the rugby powerhouse in Asia by winning the 2018  Asia Rugby Sevens Series . After losing the  Asian Games  Gold Medal to Hong Kong, the Japanese bounced back and won all the three series to bag the overall title. The victory assured them a place in the 2019  World Rugby Sevens Series . Japan kicked-off in the final series in Colombo with a comfortable 61-0 win over  Malaysia . They went on to beat  Korea  40-0 and  Philippines  21-12 to finish top in Pool A. In the semifinals, they overcame host  Sri Lanka  with a 34-17 victory. Japan's perfect run continued as they beat  Hong Kong  19-5 in the cup final to clinch their third series victory.  Katsuyuki Sakai  came out as top player in the Sri Lanka Series with 4 tries and 16 conversions. JAPAN WIN ASIA RUGBY WOMENS SEVENS SERIES

Japan Women became the 2018 Asia Rugby Womens Sevens Series overall champions after winning the final series in Sri Lanka on Sunday. They beat Hong Kong 31-0 in the Cup Final to complete a successful season for Japan Sevens teams. Yume Okuroda , Chiharu Nakamura , Raichelmiyo Bativakalolo and Riho Kurogi were in great form as they delivered the points in final leg. The Japan's Women Sevens team started the final leg at the Racecourse Colombo with a 46-0 win over Korea . They maintained the great form to claim another two wins, 31-7 against Hong Kong and 29-0 over Sri Lanka . Kazakhstan gave them a good fight before going down 12-26 in the semifinals. Hong Kong made it into the final after beating China 17-7 in the last four. China edged Kazakhstan 17-12 to claim the third place. Sri Lanka won the plate after a narrow 7-5 victory over Thailand . PERAK ON RIGHT TRACK FOR MALAYSIA CUP FINAL

Perak  are on the verge of reaching the  Malaysia Cup  final after hammering  Sabah  5-0 in the first leg semifinals clash at the Perak Football Stadium. The  Bos Gaurus  dominated the match in front of 20,000 home supporters who braved the rain to watch the game.  Perak to open the account in the 16th minute after  Nor Hakim Hassan  scored from a brilliant pass by  Firdaus Saiyadi . Three minutes before the break,  Wander Luiz  doubled the lead for Perak after a beautiful interchange of passes with Nor Hakim. Gilmar  finally got his name in the score sheet in the 73rd minute after his brilliant turn and shot in the penalty box resulted in a goal. NEGERI SEMBILAN BEAT PDRM IN AGONG'S CUP OPENER

Negeri Sembilan started-off their 2018 Agong's Cup campaign with a convincing victory over PDRM . The three times champions beat PDRM 29-12 at the Pulapol Rugby Field on Saturday. Negeri Sembilan went ahead in the 22nd minute through a penalty kick by Anwarrul Hafiz Ahmad . PDRM played well but they just could not break the visitors. The 3-0 score remained until the break. Negeri Sembilan were quick to increase the lead after the match resumed. Two converted tries by Anwarrul and Mohd Amir Shafiq Maddiah took their lead to 17-0. PDRM bounced back with tries by Wan Faizal Zulkefli and Lasaro Tugadrau . However, Negeri Sembilan got two more tries from Anwarrul and Muhammad Fauzi Ismail to take them away from Pulapol with a strong result.

EAGLES RUGBY CLUB RETAIN LABUAN 10'S TITLE

Eagles Rugby Club won the Labuan 10's rugby title for the second consecutive year after defeating Sabah OSCA Warriors 29-0 in the Mens Cup Final. The Eagles had a good run in the preliminary round on Saturday, and continued their fine performance in the knock-out stage on Sunday. OSCA Warriors reached the final after a consistant display throughout the tournament. Baram Rhinos and KK Sharks shared the second runners-up place after losing their semifinal matches against the two finalists. In the Boys Under-17 category, SMK Taman Fajar edged Barracuda   7-5 in the Cup Final. The final was a very exciting match as both sides showed strong determination to clinch the title. At the end, it was the conversion kick that make the difference for SMK Taman Fajar to emerge champions. SMK Tungku and SM La Salle finished joint third. SABAH ANGELS, PANAGA CROCS WIN AT LABUAN 10'S RUGBY CARNIVAL

Sabah Angels Warriors  defeated  KK Sharks  19-0 in the final to claim the Womens title at the  Labuan 10's Rugby Carnival . The Angels displayed an outstanding performance to secure the Womens Category.  Victorian Queens  beat Brunei's  Panaga Phyhons  15-7 to claim the Plate, and  ERC Womens  hammered  UMS Islanders  for the Bowl. Panaga Crocs  beat  Tawau Oldboys  17-7 in the cup final to win the Labuan 10’s Veterans’ title. In the Plate final,  OSCA Legends  edged  Brunei Bastidos  14-10.  KRFC Blackcatz Legends  defeated  Sandakan Oldboys  21-5 to clinch the Bowls title. SRU Academy  clinched the Girls Under-17 title after beating  Labuan Development  24-14 in the final. And  SMSM Angels  hammered  SMK Tungku  33-0 to take home the Plate title. SINGAPORE CRICKET CLUB CLINCH THE NS ROYAL SEVENS TITLE

Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) won the 2018 NS Royal Sevens after defeating NS Wanderers 14-7 in the cup final. After finishing second at the same tournament last year, the Singapore based club showed huge improvement to capture the title in Seremban, Malaysia. NS Wanderers took their spot in the final after beating Cobra RC 35-0 in the semis, while SCC marched in after 17-5 win over Awesome RC . 16 top clubs from Singapore and Malaysia took part in the 20th edition of the NS Royal Sevens. In the Under-16 category final, Hulu Selangor Science School (Semashur) beat Tuanku Jaafar Science School (STJ) 12-0 to clinch the title. Semashur beat King George V School (KGV) in the semifinals,  and STJ edged SYP to reach the final.

PERAK EDGE KEDAH TO CLAIM SUKMA GOLD

Perak  bagged their third consecutive  SUKMA  football gold medal after defeating  Kedah  2-1 in the finals at the Perak Football Stadium. The  Bos Gaurus  had won the gold medals in football for the past two SUKMA editions since 2014. Kedah showed strong determination in front of 15,000 Perak supporters. After a goalless first half, Kedah finally found the net in the 64th minute through  Fadzrul Danel 's stunning free kick. Just three minutes later,  Muhammad Alif Safwan  equalised for Perak with a brilliant header. The hosts were back in business after the goal.  Muhammad Asyraaf Mat Pushni  scored the winner in the 71st minute and Perak cruised to victory. SANGHYUN PARK WINS THE 34TH SHINHAN DONGHAE OPEN

Sanghyun Park of Korea stamped his authority as he shot a magnificent eight-under-par 63 to claim a wire-to-wire victory at the KR₩1,200,000,000 (approximately US$1,000,000) 34th Shinhan Donghae Open on Sunday. The 35-year-old won his second Asian Tour title following his dominant five-shot triumph at the Bear’s Best Cheongna Golf Club in Incheon, Korea. Park started the final round with a slim one-shot lead, but he pulled away from the rest of the field after scoring six birdies on his front nine. Even with a five-shot lead at the turn, Park continued to dictate proceedings as he marked another two birdies on his scorecard before signing for 22-under-par 262 total. The Korean set a new tournament record for the lowest winning gross score. Jiman Kang and Gaganjeet Bhullar , champions in 2006 and 2016 respectively, jointly held the previous record of 269.
