LAHIRI CAPTURES INDONESIAN MASTERS IN STYLE

Anirban Lahiri holed a sensational 20-foot eagle putt on the 18th hole to grab his fourth Asian Tour title and the first outside India at the CIMB Indonesian Masters golf here on Sunday. Lahiri fought back from a double bogey on 13th as he leapfrogged from second place to go past clubhouse leader Baek Seuk-Hyun of Korea (65), who finished at 16-under. Lahiri (68) finished at 17-under after rounds of 70, 69, 64 and 68 and was one shot clear of Baek and Cameron Smith (70). The Indian, ranked 102 in the world at the start of the week, should move inside the top-75 when the new rankings are released on Monday. MARQUEZ IS UNSTOPPABLE IN ARGENTINA

Marc Marquez displayed another dominant performance at the Argentina Grand Prix to win his third race in a row this season. The Repsol Honda rider found himself as low as seventh place during the opening laps of the race, before he charged through the field to take the lead on lap seventeen. Marquez ultimately won the race by 1.837 seconds from teammate Dani Pedrosa, who has now finished on the podium at every race this year. In third place for the Argentina Grand Prix was Movistar Yamaha MotoGP's Jorge Lorenzo, the Spanish rider leading the first sixteen laps of the race after taking the holeshot into the first corner.   The triple win gives Marquez a perfect seventy-five championship points, while Pedrosa is in second place on fifty-six points. LEE WESTWOOD: THE ASIAN SPECIALIST IS BACK!

​After so long, Lee Westwood still remember how to do the fist pump. It has been almost two years the English man stuck with 39 victories to his name. Finally, the 2014 Maybank Malaysian Open turned to be his long waited victory no. 40. He done it with a margin of seven stokes in front of the rest, and he completed his comeback with a birdie on the 18th green. Hitting 68 in the final round, with 18-under-par aggregate was just enough for Westwood to tell the world about his hunger for more championships. With a big smile on his face, he told the reporters that he was delighted, and it is not easy to win any tournament by seven shots.   "I played really nicely this week and didn't make many mistakes. My short game was good and tee to green I was solid. I'm pleased with the way I finished it off." ARRC: ZAMRI SCORES A DOUBLE AT SEPANG

Mohd Zamri Baba fought the pain of his injuries to claim a double victory ahead of poleman, Katsuaki Fujiwara in SuperSports 600cc battle as the opening round of the 2014 PETRONAS Asia Road Racing Championship in Sepang on Sunday. The victory also marked the Malaysian rider first time winning his home race, a feat only reigning champion, Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman and Chia Tuck Cheong achieved before. Zamri, who is still using crutches after injuring his left leg in a dirt track training accident in February, won the Race One in 27:38.920. Yuki Ito of Japan finished second in 27:39.471, while 2011 champion Katsuaki Fujiwara took third place in 27:40.605. The Musashi Boon Siew Honda Racing rider went on to mastermind one of the best races of his career in Race Two to trail his Kawasaki rival and lay his assault in the final lap whilst the latter struggled with grip and handling issues. JIMENEZ WINS IN CHAMPIONS TOUR DEBUT

Miguel Angel Jimenez held off Bernhard Langer to win the Greater Gwinnett Championship on Sunday, becoming only the third player to lead from start to finish in his debut on the 50-and-over tour. The Spaniard coming off a fourth-place finish in the Masters, closed with a 67 to finish two strokes ahead of Langer. Jimenez finished the tournament with 32 consecutive holes without a bogey at TPC Sugarloaf . Langer, the defending champion, shot his third-straight 68. Jimenez and Langer were tied at 10 under before a two-shot swing on No. 8. Jimenez needed only a short putt for a birdie, and Langer fell two strokes behind with his bogey. Croatia's Donna Vekic captured her first Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Tour singles title at the BMW Malaysian Open at the Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) in Kuala Lumpur today. The seventh seed however, blew it in the third set before edging World No. 10 and top seed Dominika Cibulkova 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) in the rain-interrupted final, which lasted more than two hours. It was also her first ever win over a top 10 player. She earned a prize purse of US$43,000 for her efforts while Dominika received US$21,400. "It was a tough match, she played very well. I was 5-1 up in the third set but she played insanely well to get back. The fans here really helped, so this win is for them as well." Lee Westwood marched to a convincing seven-stroke victory for his first title in two years after a flawless four-under-par 68 at the Maybank Malaysian Open on Sunday. The Englishman completed his wire-to-wire win in style when he holed a 20-foot birdie putt on the last for an 18-under-par 270 winning total at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club . Major champion Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa threatened briefly by shooting four birdies in his first seven holes but dropped shots around the turn saw his challenge fizzle as he signed for to a 68, taking joint second place with Austrian Bernd Wiesberger and Ryder Cup star Nicolas Colsaerts of Belgium in the US$2.75 million event sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour . RUGBY SUPER LEAGUE: SSTMI 22 – KERIS CONLAY 8 Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School 's (SSTMI) finally clinched the Malaysian Rugby Super League title yesterday after they outlasted defending champions Keris Conlay 22-8 in the final yesterday. Runners-up in 2012, SSTMI were in control at the UKM Stadium , notching tries through Wan Izzudin Ismail and a brace from Fijian Nalawa Malakai . Mohamad Syarif Saiful Aazwan converted twice in addition to a penalty. Keris Conlay's had just one try from national player Muhamad Syabil Laila after Supriyanto Sudyai scored a penalty in the first half. SSTMI lead 10-3 in the first half before wrapping-up the second with 22-8. Head coach, Wan Ibrahim Wan Chik was very emotional after the game. TIMEA BABOS-HAO CHING WIN BMW MALAYSIA OPEN DOUBLES

Timea Babos and Taiwan's Chan Hao Ching won their first Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Tour doubles title as a team in the BMW Malaysian Open at Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) in Kuala Lumpur today. The top seeds defeated fourth seed Zheng Saisai of China and Taiwan's Chan Yung Jan 6-3, 6-4 in the rain-delayed final, which lasted for 71 minutes. It was Timea's first doubles title of the season since victory in Sydney with Lucie Safarova in January. As for Hao Ching, the win in KL is her third career title. Today's triumph also meant that Hao Ching got the better of her older sister, Yung Jan, for the second time in a final following victory in the mixed doubles gold medal match at last year's East Asian Games. Yung Jan could have been the first player in the BMW Malaysian Open to win a second title after winning the doubles event with China's Zheng Jie in 2010. MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: SELANGOR 1 - LIONS XII 0 Selangor collected another three points after taking down Lions XII at Shah Alam Stadium. Steve Pantelidis goal was enough for the Red Giants ' narrow 1-0 win over Lions XII. The Australian, who was pushed to play in midfield by coach Mehmet Durakovic , headed in the winner in the 23rd minute for Selangor's eighth win. The win is a perfect response from the Red Giants, after crashing out of the AFC Cup on Wednesday. Selangor also reclaimed second spot in the Super League with 27 points from 13 matches, and keeping the pressure on leaders Pahang who lead by a point and have played a game more. First choice, Dominika Cibulkova and seventh seeded Donna Vekic will face each other in the BMW Malaysian Open final today. The world number 95, Donna came back after a slow start to send second choice, Zhang Shuai out 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinal. Dominika, who is hunting for her second win  after Acapulco, defeated Karolina Pliskova 6-7, 6-3, 6-3 to confirm her spot in the final. Overnight leader Lee Westwood saw his overnight four-shot lead reduced to one stroke by countryman Andy Sullivan after a tough third round at the Maybank Malaysian Open on Saturday.   Englishman Westwood, winner here in 1997, battled to a one-under-par 71 under sweltering conditions for a three-day total of 14-under-par 202 at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club . BMW MALAYSIAN OPEN: ZHANG SHUAI SET-UP SEMIFINAL DATE WITH DONNA VEKIC

Second seed Zhang Shuai created history by becoming the first player from China to reach the singles semi-finals of the BMW Malaysia Open at Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) in Kuala Lumpur today. With temperatures surpassing 31degrees Celsius, Zhang Shuai struggled in the 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 win over Poland's World No 124 Magda Linette in a tense two-hour quarter-final battle on centre court. She will faces 17-year-old Donna Vekic of Croatia in the semi-finals tomorrow. Donna, the World 95, defeated Austria's Patricia Mayr-Achleitner 6-4, 7-5. Lee Westwood reinforced his reputation as an Asian specialist when he fired a classy seven-under-par 65 for the first round clubhouse lead in the Maybank Malaysian Open on Thursday.   The Englishman, whose 40 career wins includes 12 in Asia plus the 1997 Malaysian Open , brilliantly birdied his last three holes at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club to maintain his fine form after finishing seventh at the Masters Tournament last week. MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: SIME DARBY 4 - KELANTAN 0 It was a superb performance by Sime Darby as they hammered the 2013 FA Cup Champion, Kelantan 4-0 at Selayang Stadium on Tuesday. The result marked as Steve Darby 's final match in-charge of the Red Warriors . MRSL SEMIFINAL: COBRA 14 - KERIS CONLAY 16 Keris Conlay fought back in style to reach the Malaysia Rugby Super League Final after defeating Cobra at UKM Stadium on Saturday. Cobra opened the scoring with a penalty in the first minute. Followed by a try in the 10th minute to give Cobra the lead with 11-3. Keris Conlay, Etonia Vaqa Saukuru tries in the 38th minute to live up their chance in the match. Cobra held on with 11-8 until the break. Keris Conlay came back stronger after the match resumed. Seventh seed Donna Vekic of Croatia and former champion Hsieh Su-Wei of Taiwan survived rain delays and jitters to reach the second round of the BMW Malaysian Open at Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. The World No 95, Donna was down 3-6 and 1-4 against Taiwan's Chan Yung Jan before play was halted due to the rain.  The 17-year-old Donna, who is the youngest player in the main draw, however, returned to court three hours later stronger. She turned on a near-perfect display to win five straight games in the second set to force the match into a decider. It was a one-sided third set with Donna, who is making her third appearance in the BMW Malaysian Open , winning 6-1 for a spot in the second round. MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: SELANGOR 1 - PERAK 0 Playing with ten men was not an excuse for the Selangor not to collect three valuable points against bottom place Perak. The Red Giants defeated Perak with 1-0 at Shah Alam Stadium. Paulo Rangel is the hero again as his goal scoring form continued. BUBBA WATSON WINS SECOND MASTERS IN THREE YEARS

Bubba Watson put his ability on full display, shooting a final-round 69 at Augusta National to pull away from Jordan Spieth on the back nine and win his second Masters in three years. The win saw him climb eight places to fourth in the world ranking. After handing off the green jacket to Adam Scott last year, Bubba Watson earned it back on Sunday by shooting a 3-under 69 in the final round, fending off Jordan Spieth's bid to become the youngest major champion since 1931. The 20-year-old Texan led by two shots heading to the eighth hole, but the tournament changed suddenly. Watson made two straight birdies, Spieth took back-to-back bogeys, and just like that, Watson was up by two strokes at the turn. The left-hander led the rest of the way, adding to the 2012 title he won in more spectacular fashion with a playoff victory. The winning score was 8-under 280. Spieth finished with a 72, his worst score of the week. He was 283 overall, tied with Sweden's Jonas Blixt.

KELANTAN PILES ATM INTO RELEGATION WORRIES

MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: ATM 0 - KELANTAN 2 Kelantan sent ATM deep into relegation zone after a 2-0 win at Selayang Stadium. The win moved the Red Warriors up to fourth in the standings thanks to goals by Badhri Radzi and Francis Doe. Badhri Radzi could have made it 2-0 in the first 20 minutes but failed to find the net from two good chances. However, the Kelantan skipper rectified for his mistakes when he scored after receiving a pass from Wan Zaharulnizam Wan Zakaria , right before the break. Marlon Alex James , who returned from injury for the Gladiators , had a goal ruled offside. The 2013 top scorer left the field late in the second half, due to an injury and ATM had to fight on with 10 men after making three substitutions. ALYSSA FALLS TO ARINA AT BMW MALAYSIAN OPEN

Alyssa Boey failed to make it through the first round of qualifiers in the BMW Malaysian Open at the Royal Selangor Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur today. In her first ever appearance in the BMW Malaysian Open, Alyssa, 17, did not to pose a serious threat in the 6-1, 6-1 defeat to Australia’s Arina Rodionova . A winner of seven titles on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Circuit, Arina was flawless throughout the match but Alyssa did well to break her serve once in the second set. Alyssa, who is Malaysia’s sole representative in the BMW Malaysian Open, admitted hat she was no match for the Australian. “I lost and of course, slightly disappointed, however, it was a good experience. FELDA'S GOOD RUN CONTINUES

MALAYSIA PREMIER LEAGUE: FELDA UTD 3 - DRB-HICOM 2 Felda United continued their good run in the Malaysia Premier League after defeating DRB-Hicom 3-2 at Selayang Stadium. It is Irfan Bakti 's fifth consecutive win this season. Ahmad Shamim Yahya put Felda in front in the 17th minute after receiving a cross from Solihin Kanasian . Just three minutes later, Edward Junior Wilson doubled the lead when he found the net from a good run through DRB's defence.  As Felda looked comfortable with a two goal lead, Stanley Ogunboye Iyanu found the net to give a fight back chance for DRB-Hicom. The score remained until the break. As the match resume, DRB-Hicom raised their game. However, the homeside were given the spotkick after Solihin was brought down inside DRB's penalty area.
