ROSSI STILL HAVING IT!

Valentino Rossi recorded the second best time (2'00.380) at the recent MotoGP winter test in Sepang, Malaysia. The Italian and his teammate Jorge Lorenzo rode similar YZR-M1 prototypes to those they tested in November at Valencia. Yamaha continue testing a shorter exhaust pipe, this time featuring a grill covering the air exit, with a view to avoid flame escapes and prevent the entry of gravel and debris.

There was also a special new 'winter' helmet for Rossi featuring snowflakes and reindeers, neither of which are likely to otherwise feature at Sepang this week. Lorenzo was third fastest, 0.141s behind Rossi.

Meanwhile Rossi and Lorenzo's Monster Yamaha Tech 3 colleague Pol Espargaro showed good pace in sixth despite an early light crash as he begins his second year in the premier class. Espargaro's teammate Bradley Smith lapped further down the timesheet in ninth. Yamaha test rider Katsuyuki Nakasuga also crashed unhurt in the morning.

BLACKCATZ POUNCE TO VICTORY AT THE SONG KHENG HAI SEVENS

The  Kuching Rugby Football Club  (KRFC) Blackcatz emerged victorious in the highly anticipated  Song Kheng Hai Sevens  rugby tournament, claiming the title after a decisive 26-12 victory over  Asajaya RC  in the Cup Final. The match, held at the Song Kheng Hai ground, showcased the skill and determination of both teams, but the  Blackcatz  proved to be the dominant force throughout the competition. MUAMALAT BULLETS CONQUER PULAPOL 10S

Muamalat Bullets proved once again why they are one of the fiercest forces in Malaysian rugby, clinching the PULAPOL 10s title with a commanding 19-7 victory over hosts PULAPOL KL in the Cup final. The two-day tournament, held at the Kuala Lumpur Police Training Centre on 28 and 29 June 2025, featured 16 top teams from across the country battling for supremacy, but none could match the firepower and flair of the Bullets.
