ATP MALAYSIAN OPEN: NISHIKORI BEATS BENNETEAU IN FINAL

​​ Kei Nishikori of Japan clinches his first Malaysian Open title, becoming the first Asian to win the ATP World Tour 250 series tournament. Nishikori beat fourth-seeded Julien Benneteau of France 7-6 (4), 6-4 in the final at the Putra Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday. ​ The rising tennis star had already made headlines when he qualified to the recent US Open final, making him the first Asian man to make a Grand Slam singles final. Fresh from playing in his first Grand Slam final, the 24-year-old Nishikori claimed 72 percent of his service points in the final to wrap up victory in 1 hour 47 minutes. ​ Fourth seed Benneteau took the lead 3-1 in the first set, but Nishikori fought back to force the set to tie-break, which he won 7-4. ​ AGONG'S CUP: NEGERI SEMBILAN 20 - KEDAH 5 Negeri Sembilan took the advantage of playing at home by defeating Kedah 20-5 in Mantin last Saturday. The 2012 finalist displayed a solid performance against the traveling visitor. ​ Negeri Sembilan scored their first points from a penalty in the 6th minute through Mohd Noor Jefri . Seven minutes later, Muhammad Shabirin Wahab increased Negeri Sembilan's lead with try. Kedah tried to stop Negeri Sembilan's offensive approach. However, the homeside got another try from William Joseph Yasker in the 32nd minute. Kedah were more organized in the second half. ​​ SULTAN SELANGOR CUP: SELANGOR 2 - SINGAPORE 1 Selangor put a brace to hold up the Sultan Selangor Cup for the third year in a row after defeating Singapore with a 2-1 win at Shah Alam Stadium last Saturday.Playing infront of 70,000 home crowds, the Red Giants looks fierce and strong and Selangor almost get an early lead in 30th minutes with a strike from Paulo Rangel but were denied by The Lions defense. JOOST LUITEN HANGS ON TO WIN IN WALES

​ Joost Luiten bounced back from a poor start and overcame a nervous finish to claim his fourth European Tour title in the Wales Open at Celtic Manor on Sunday. Luiten opened with two straight bogeys but bounced back with three birdies on the back nine and then recovered from a poor tee shot on the 18th to make par for the victory. The Dutchman , who had led by two shots after the third round, finished with a 14-under total of 270. Luiten let slip his two-shot overnight lead when he bogeyed the first two holes of the final round. But he recovered with three birdies and one bogey on the back nine for a final round of 71 to finish 14 under par, one shot ahead of England 's Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry of Ireland . ​ 2014 AGONG CUP: TERENGGANU 27 - PAHANG 6 After gaining a comfort victory with 34-5 score against Kuala Lumpur last week, Pahang fail to continue their perfect run after Terengganu give them a hard lesson in their second match in Group D at UKM field in Bangi which put Pahang level with Terengganu with 3 points but the turtles have an advantage with a game to play. Billy Horschel claims the biggest title of his career at the Tour Championship along with FedExCup honors and an eye-popping $10 million bonus. The American took the limelight from world number one Rory McIlroy on Sunday with a 68, McIlroy closed with 71.  Tied for the lead overnight with Northern Irishman McIlroy in the PGA Tour 's season-ending playoff event, American Horschel held his nerve to triumph by three shots, clinching his third career victory on the U.S. circuit and second in two weeks. Horschel, one of five players who came into the tournament knowing that victory would automatically secure him the prized playoff crown, mixed three birdies with a lone bogey on Sunday to keep his closest challengers at bay. The 27-year-old American ended his season with a spectacular flourish, having tied for second at the Deutsche Bank Championship earlier this month before winning last week's BMW Championship outside Denver. DI GRASSI WINS BEIJING EPRIX

​ Audi Sport ABT's Lucas di Grassi stole victory in the inaugural Formula E Evergrande Spring Beijing ePrix after Nicolas Prost and Nick Heidfeld crashed in a last corner battle for the lead. Heidfeld walked away unscathed from a nasty looking incident after contact with Prost left him unable to control the car and flipped into the tyre barrier. As the pair approached the final corner the Venturi driver dived up the inside in an attempt to the take the lead. The Frenchman moved left to defend and inevitably lead to their wheels colliding. ​ After clambering out from underneath the car Heidfeld, clearly aggravated, confronted Prost. HORSCHEL WINS BMW TITLE

​ Billy Horschel claimed the BMW Championship by two shots to move up into second place in the FedEx Cup standings heading into the closing Tour Championship next week. Horschel let a three-shot lead drop to nothing early in the final round of the BMW Championship before rebounding for a two-stroke victory over Bubba Watson. Horschel shot a 1-under 69 and finished at 14-under 266. Watson shot a four-under 66 to finish in second on 12-under, while Morgan Hoffman hit a blazing 63, seven-under, to pinch third place on 11-under, two shots ahead of Jim Furyk, Rickie Fowler, Sergio Garcia and Ryan Palmer. The win secured him a place in the all-important top five in the FedEx Cup standings going into the Tour Championship at East Lake. Chris Kirk leads the way in top spot, followed by Horschel, Watson, Rory McIlroy and Hunter Mahan . LIPSKY CLAIMS FIRST EUROPEAN TOUR TITLE

​ American David Lipsky won his maiden European Tour win by beating Graeme Storm in the first hole of a play-off at the Omega European Masters . Playing the last again, Lipsky stayed safe for a par four while overnight leader Graeme Storm was unable to recover from a wayward tee shot that missed the fairway and came to rest against a wall. The 26 year old from Los Angeles took a difficult route to the 18th hole, via a fairway bunker and thick rough short of the green, before sinking a 2-foot putt. The 26-year-old from Los Angeles earned a career-best $497,000 payday for his second victory. Lipsky opted to play on the Asian Tour after graduating from Northwestern University and now tops its money list with this victory. Another American, Brooks Koepka, and Tyrrell Hatton of England tied for third trailing by one shot after shooting 67 and 65, respectively.
