JDT WINS FIRST SILVERWARE IN LARKIN

MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: JDT 2 - PAHANG 0

JDT picked up their first silverware of the season by winning the Charity Shield cum Super League match at the Larkin Stadium. Brazilian centreback Marcos Santos and Argentinian striker Luciano Figueroa scored for the Southern Tigers.

Playing in front of a confident home crowd, Johor Darul Takzim outplayed Pahang in both halves. Pahang could only make long range shots which were easily saved by Farizal Marlias. JDT took the lead in the 37th minute when Marcos headed in a corner by Safiq Rahim.

The Southern Tigers kept their posession in the second half. Figueroa killed Pahang's desire for a fight back with an excellent finishing in the 58th minute. JDT finally lifted the Sultan Ahmad Shah Trophy and claimed the first three points in the 2015 Malaysia Super League.
