​PIALA AGONG: TERENGGANU 15 - SABAH 16 Sabah once again spoils Terengganu's Agong's Cup dream when they win their semifinal battle 16-15 at UPM Rugby Field yesterday.The defending champions had to wait until the final four minutes before taking over the lead from the hard fighting Terengganu . Terengganu did not take too long to settle in the game. An early penalty kick from Mohd Fairuz Abd Rahman put them ahead just two minutes after the match started. Sabah struggled to get their game right, could not deny Terengganu from making a try in the 16th minute through Mohd Faridzal Ismail . Terengganu looked comfortable even though Orene Aii managed to score a penalty for Sabah three minutes later. PERAK REACH AGONG'S CUP FINAL AFTER LONG WAIT

​PIALA AGONG: PERAK 10 - JOHOR 6 Perak finally ended their long wait for Agong's Cup final after beating Johor 10-6 in their semifinal match at UPM Rugby Field on Wednesday. The Silver state team had last won the prestigious cup in 1985. Their road to this year's final was tough but they passed them with flying colours. Johor were not an easy opponent. They took the lead after ten minutes from a penalty by Wan M Asyraf Norudin and held on through the first half. Perak made some good attempts but were broken down by the Southern Tigers . ​Perak returned with some tactical changes after the break and started to give Johor a lot of troubles. The Bos Gaurus got a penalty and Mohd Amir Aswad Mat Saad did not waste the opportunity to put his team level with their opponent. However the joy was not long and Johor almost killed them off. KIM LIFTS MITSUBISHI DIAMOND CUP IN STYLE

​Kyung-Tae Kim of Korea won his fourth title this year when he claimed a three-shot victory at the Asia-Pacific Open Mitsubishi Diamond Cup on Sunday. The 29-year-old holed a 10-foot birdie on the last hole to finish on two-under-par 68 for a winning total of nine-under-par 271 at the Y150 million (approximately US$1.2 million) event sanctioned by the Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour . Kim, who led by two shots at the start of the round, was drawn level by a fast charging Muto after 12 holes. The Korean birdied the par three 13th hole to regain command and sealed the deal with a stylish closing birdie. SABAH HAMMER ATM TO JOIN AGONGS CUP FINAL FOUR

​PIALA AGONG: SABAH 32 - ATM 15 Sabah beat ATM 32-15 in the Agong's Cup quarterfinal match at the UPM Rugby Field on Sunday. The defending champions were quite unsettled at the start but overcame it as the match progressed. PDRM were quick to take advantage with a try in the 5th minute. However, Sabah got back in business as usual ten minutes later with a try by Jonathan V.Tan . Former All Blacks Orene Aii completed the conversion for his team to take over the lead. Sabah got another try in the 21st minute through Dahlan Daud . Badrul Musa gave Sabah a comfortable 17-5 lead before half time with his try in the 39th minute. ​Sabah did not waste much time after the match resumed as they scored two tries in the 46th and 56th minute by Azman Osman . PDRM also got two tries in the second half but a late try by A rdyaffendi Mohd Arifin put Sabah beyond the Cops' reach. TERENGGANU OVERCOME PDRM FOR SEMIFINAL SPOT

PIALA AGONG: TERENGGANU 31 - PDRM 14 Terengganu confirmed their place in the final four of the 2015 Agong's Cup after sinking PDRM 31-14 at UPM Rugby Field on Sunday. The 2014 finalist had to make a comeback in the second half after being down 10-14 before the break.  Suliano Volivoli sent Terengganu ahead with a try four minutes after the start. The East Coast side were 10-nil up after another try in the 23rd minute by Muhamad Syaril Laila . PDRM did not give it up easily. They scored a try just one minute later. After the conversion and the Cops were eager to get more. In the 35th minute, PDRM took over the lead with another try and conversion . ​Thai stalwart Thammanoon Sriroj of Thailand lifted the Ballantine's Taiwan Championship trophy after defeating local prospect Wang Wei-lun on the second play-off hole at the US$110,000 Asian Development Tour (ADT) event on Sunday.   The 46-year-old Thai hit a 15-yard chip shot from greenside and holed a three-foot par putt on the 18th green in the second extra hole to edge Wang, who settled for bogey after missing a 30-footer, at the picturesque National Golf and Country Club . Both of them bogeyed the first play-off hole on the par-four 18th hole.   Thammanoon walked away with the winner's prize cheque of US$19,250 and moved up more than 40 rungs to 10th place on the Order of Merit. ​PIALA AGONG: JOHOR 36 - PUTRAJAYA 13 Johor cruised into the Agong's Cup semifinal after defeating Putrajaya 36-13 on Sunday. The Southern Tigers displayed a solid performance to take control of the quarterfinal match at the UKM Rugby Field. Putrajaya gave Johor a wake-up call in the fourth minute with a penalty. From there on Johor started to dominate the match. Ulufale Tupu snatched the lead from Putrajaya in the 13th minute with a try. Mohd Razmi Rozan made no mistake for the conversion. In the 25th minute, Mohd Izwan Abu Bakar pulled Johor away with another try. ​However, Putrajaya reduced the deficit with a penalty six minute before the break. ​PIALA AGONG: PERAK 25 - KELANTAN 22 Perak marched into Agong's Cup semifinal after winning over Kelantan 25-22 at UKM Rugby Field on Sunday. The Bos Gaurus sealed the narrow victory with a late try in their second encounter against the same opponent. Kelantan took the lead after seven minute into the game through Zulkiflee Azmi 's try, and Mohamad Syarif Syaiful Razwan made it 7-0 with the conversion. Perak struggled early in the match to beat Kelantan's back line. Mohamad Syarif took Kelantan further with a penalty in the 33rd minute. Perak finally found the breakthrough with two penalties by Mohd Amir Hadafi Mat Saad in the 35th and 40th minute. ​Kelantan were back in business again in the 44th minute with another try by Mohd Faris Che Salim . ​PIALA MALAYSIA: PERAK 1 - SARAWAK 0 Perak recorded their first win in the 2015 Malaysia Cup campaign after beating Sarawak 1-0 at Perak Stadium in Ipoh. Perak were out end their winless spell took control of the match from the start. Sarawak were not an easy meal for the Bos Gaurus . They held on Perak's pressure to a goal less first half. Perak returned in the second half with more organized tactics. Bobby Gonzales finally broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute. Sarawak tried really hard to find the equalizer, but Perak defence played so well. The win was so meaningful for the home side to get the right motivation  to carry on their Malaysia Cup campaign. PDRM BEAT ATM TO TAKE GROUP C TOP SPOT

​PIALA AGONG: ATM 14 - PDRM 25 PDRM clinched the top spot of Group C in the 2015 Agong's Cup Tournament after thrashing ATM with 25-14 score at Bellamy Field in Sungai Besi last Saturday. Both teams were equally good but ATM took an early lead through Farid Ahmad try in the third minutes. Fifteen minutes later, a fine run from Vatiliai Tuisabeto Tora ensures PDRM back on level before scrum half, Mohammad Fazrin Noor Zahid put the cops infront with a conversion a minute later. The first half ended with PDRM leading the game with 7-5. Mohd Aiman Jamaluddin scored a penalty three minutes after the restart to put ATM back into the lead. Trailing with one point, PDRM started to control the game positively and built the gap after securing 14 points within five minutes of play through Mohamad Safwan Abdullah and Sakeasi Tugalu Nalla tries in 50th and 53rd minutes. NEGERI MISS OUT QUARTERFINALS AS TERENGGANU MARCHED ON

PIALA AGONG: NEGERI SEMBILAN 24 - TERENGGANU 29 Negeri Sembilan blew their chance again to qualify into Agong's Cup quarter final after losing to Terengganu last Saturday. Terengganu showed a good fighting spirit through out the match and took advantage over the inconsistent home side to claim a deserving 29-24 victory. Negeri Sembilan had all the opportunity to win the game. They got three tries from Anwarrul Hafiz Ahmad , Ropate Mokuvakaca , and Muhamad Amirul Aqil scored all the conversions. Terengganu could only get a try from Timoli Saini and a penalty by Mohd Fairuz Abd Rahman before going into the break with 8-21 down. However, the second half was totally a different story. ​PIALA MALAYSIA: PKNS 0 - PAHANG 2 Pahang ensure their target to win the third consecutive Malaysia Cup is on track after beating PKNS in Selayang. The Elephants gave a good show before claiming a 2-0 win away from home. PKNS did not give it up easily to their visitors. Both teams were equally good in the goalless first half. ​However, Zainal Abidin 's men put extra effort after the break. Mohd Azammuddin Akil found the net in the 52nd minute to give Pahang the lead. PKNS tried to find the equalizer, but Pahang's defence was rock solid. CHIA CRUISE TO VICTORY AT PGM BUKIT JAWI CHAMPIONSHIP

​Local stalwart Danny Chia cruised to a six-shot victory after shooting an impressive seven-under-par 65 at the PGM Bukit Jawi Championship on Saturday. The 42-year-old claimed his third Asian Development Tour (ADT) title with a 21-under-par 267 total at the RM200,000 (approximately US$50,000) event which was staged at the Bukit Jawi Golf Resort . Casey O'Toole of the United States replaced Hsieh Chi-hsien of Chinese Taipei as the new ADT Order of Merit leader after settling for his second runner-up finish this season following a 69. Sean Riordan of New Zealand matched the low round of 65 to finish third on 274 while Thailand's Itthipat Buranatanyarat ended his campaign in fourth place after shooting a 71.   The dominant Chia eagled the sixth hole from the edge of the green to turn in 31. ON FORM JDT WIN AGAIN OVER ATM

PIALA MALAYSIA: ATM 2 - JOHOR DT 3 Malaysia Super League champions Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) made it two wins from two in Group B after a 3-2 victory away to ATM . Fresh from winning their AFC Cup quarterfinal encounter against South China, the Southern Tigers took good control of the match in Paroi. ​Marcos Antonio opened the scoring in the 9th minute before Mahali Jasuli added the second for JDT in the 26th minute. The home side tried to fightback into the game but JDT was too good in controlling the game. They held on well until the break with the two goals cushion. ​ ​Safiq Rahim did not take long after the restart as he blasted a powerful free kick to beat Syed Adney in the 52nd minute. ​PIALA AGONG: PERAK 85 - KUALA LUMPUR 0 Perak thrashed Kuala Lumpur 85-0 in their second Agong's Cup match in Tronoh. The win sent Perak to the top of Group B after their stunning victory over Kelantan on the opening day. Perak collected 45 points from the first half after going with seven tries and five conversions. Kuala Lumpur could not stop the tactically fast and brilliant home side. Perak dominated from the beginning and did not give any space for the visitors to react  Perak were down to 14 players early in the second half after scrum-half Izzuddin was given a yellow card by referee. However, missing a player for 10 munites did not affected the entire team performance. ​PIALA AGONG: SELANGOR 18 - NEGERI SEMBILAN 15 Selangor beat Negeri Sembilan 18-15 at UPM field last Saturday to stand up a chance in qualified for the next stage of Agong's Cup competition. Having lost to Terengganu with 26-9 score in the first match last weekend, Selangor need to wait until second half to steer the victory against the ex-champion Negeri Sembilan.   As for Negeri Sembilan, they have only themselves to be blame for after failed to hold the tempo in dominating the game in the first half. ​AFC CUP: JOHOR DT 3 - SOUTH CHINA 1 JDT qualify into semifinal with 4-2 aggregate.   Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) created history after becoming the first Malaysian team to qualify the AFC Cup semi-finals after defeating South China 3-1 in Hong Kong on Tuesday. The Southern Tigers survived with 10 players after the dismissal of striker Luciano Figueroa to record a 4-2 aggregate win in the quarter-final, second leg match. The Malaysia Super League Champions took the lead in the 26th minute after Mahalli Jasuli opened the scoring. ​Overnight leader Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand cruised to a three-shot victory when he closed with a second straight four-under-par 68 to win the inaugural Thongchai Jaidee Foundation event, hosted by his countryman and mentor, on Sunday. Kiradech, who led by four shots heading into the final round, fired five birdies against a bogey for a winning total of 24-under-par 264 in the four million baht (approximately US$111,808) Asian Development Tour (ADT) event. ​PIALA AGONG: PERAK 21 - KELANTAN 18    Perak staged a stunning performance to beat Kelantan 21-18 in their opening match at UPM on Saturday. The Bos Gaurus did not backed down even though Kelantan lead 6-10 at half time.   Perak took the lead in the first ten minutes through a penalty by Mohd Amir Aswad Mat Saad . However, Kelantan bounced back with a try four minutes later by Muhammafd Zulhisham Rasli . Kelantan changed into offensive approach before getting another try in the 21st minute. ​ ​PIALA MALAYSIA: JOHOR DT 2 - PERAK 0 Johor DT  (JDT) Kicked-off their 2015 Malaysia Cup campaign in style with a 2-0 victory over Perak at Larkin Stadium on Friday night. The Malaysia Super League Champions are looking good in chasing a trophy double this season.  The Southern Tigers scored two goals in three first half minutes to grab early control of the game against a dangerous Perak side in the Group B encounter. ​National striker Safee Sali opened the scoring in the 17th minute after receiving a pass from S.Chanturu . And the homeside took another advantage three minutes later when Chanturu added the second by himself. Despite their best efforts, Perak weren't able to get back into the match in the second half with JDT comfortably in command. MICHAEL TRAN WINS CIPUTRA TOURNAMENT AFTER PLAY-OFF

​​Michael Tran of Vietnam sensationally won his maiden Asian Development Tour (ADT) title after defeating overnight co-leader Lam Chih Bing of Singapore on the first play-off hole at the Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament on Saturday.   Tran, who was one shot off the pace heading into the final round, signed for a closing four-under-par 68 after sinking a crucial 15-footer birdie putt on the last hole 18th to force a play-off with Lam, who bogeyed the hole for a 69, at the US$100,000 ADT event.   The duo were tied on 18-under-par 270 total in regulation play before returning to the par-five 18th for the play-off battle where Tran outplayed Lam with a birdie against a par at the Damai Indah Golf , BSD course. Tran became the first Vietnamese to win on the ADT following his victory at the Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament, which marked his second professional win since joining the play-for-pay ranks in 2008. ​PIALA AGONG: SELANGOR 9 - TERENGGANU 26   Terengganu kicked start their new Agong's Cup campaign with a convincing win over Selangor at the UPM Rugby Field on Saturday. The 2014 finalist showed put up an excellent effort to record a deserving 26-9 win over Selangor.   Terengganu pumped the pressure on Selangor with an early penalty in the 4th minute. Mohd Fairuz Abd Rahman made no mistake to give his team the lead. Eight minutes later Timoci Saini broke Selangor defence for a try. Mohd Fairuz completed the conversion to give Terengganu a comfortable 10-0 lead.   ​Selangor raised their game and started to compete against the well-organized opponent. ​PIALA MALAYSIA: FELDA UNITED 3 - T-TEAM 0 Felda United cruised to an easy 3-0 win over T-Team in their Malaysia Cup opening match in Selayang. The visitor had no answer against the Fighters who played a very impressive game.  ​ ​Makeche Ndumba drew first blood in the 35th minute. The Zambian striker made no mistake ofter receiving a pass from Zah Rahan Krangar . Three minutes later, Indraputra Mahayuddin put his team in a more comfortable position. HONG KONG BEAT MALAYSIA TO CLAIM ARFU UNDER-20 RUGBY 7S TITLE

​ ​Hong Kong completed the two leg ARFU Under-20 Rugby 7s as champions in Hong Kong. The winner of the first leg in Johor, continued their unbeaten run to claim the title after defeating Malaysia 52-7. In the first leg of the tournament, Hong Kong beat Sri Lanka 29-15 in the final. Malaysia finished fourth after losing to Chinese Taipei 7-12. ​Sri Lanka, who finished second in the first leg were hit by injuries and did not reach the final four in Hong Kong. Malaysia showed an improved performance to reach the final. Hong Kong proved to be the future rugby 7's power house of Asia with a convincing win in the final.
