BORNEO EAGLES WIN COBRA 10'S

Borneo Eagles beat Cobra 19-0 in the cup final to claim victory at the Cobra 10's International Rugby tournament. The victory came after a good performance by East Malaysian club from the start of the tournament. Last year's winner, KSDBKL came out as plate champions after defeating Singapore Barbarians in the final. Panthers Blowpipes took the bowl title as they overcame Duka Old Boys in their final match.  Cobra 10's in one of the oldest tournament in the country, and also one of the biggest international rugby 10's tournament in Asia. Teams from Malaysia, England, South Africa, Singapore and New Zealand had taken part in this year's edition. SILVER GAURUS CLAIM TAIPING 10'S TITLE

Silver Gaurus won the Taiping 10's Rugby Tournament after an impressive 25-12 victory over Cobra in the Cup final match. The Perak based club took the title despite a second half comeback attempt by the last year finalist, Cobra. Sementerian claimed the Plate title after defeating Langkawi Eagles 29-7 in the final. GP Habanero won the Bowl final 12-0 over Northern Wanderers . Sixteen rugby clubs from all over the country took part in the annual Taiping 10's Rugby Tournament organised by the Old Edwardian Rugby Club. Last year's winner, KSDBKL could not retain the title after losing to Silver Gaurus in the semifinals. KEDAH BEAT SELANGOR TO WIN THE MALAYSIA CUP

PIALA MALAYSIA FINAL KEDAH 1 - SELANGOR 1 *Kedah win 6-5 after penalty shoot-outs Kedah won their fifth Malaysia Cup after beating Selangor 6-5 in penalties. Both team were tied 1-1 after 90 minutes. Rizal Ghazali opened accounts and then closed the accounts with the winning penalty as Kedah dethroned defending champions Selangor at the Shah Alam Stadium. Fittingly, Rizal was named Man of the Match in the final which was watched by more than 80,000 supporters. Rizal opened the scoring for Kedah in the 52nd minute when his strike took a deflection off S. Veenod and the ball looped into the Selangor net past a confused Khalid Azhan in goal. But that lead was cancelled out by Ahmad Hazwan Bakri when he drilled home a low shot past Kedah's young goalkeeper Ifwat Akmal , 20. After that it was a tale of missed chances by both sides.
