ICG FOOTBALL: KSKUOB 7 - UBRC 1 Malaysia's club KSKUOB delivered a sweet revenge after a 7-1 win over Singapore's UBRC in the annual Inter Club Games at Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka last Saturday. The Singapore side won 1-0 in a controversial match at Hang Tuah Stadium last year.  KSKUOB manager, Ariffin Ideris named an experience squad this year with four players from Pulau Pinang and Kedah . Faisol Bidin was called back from retirement to strenghten the defence and inspire the team. KSKUOB didn't take long to open the scoring in the second minute from Mohd Ayub . All time legend, Ben Sritharan displayed a gallant performance commanding the centre of the field. KSKUOB added another 2 goals before conceding a penalty to lead 3-1 at half time. The Malaysian side did not look like holding back despite the comfortable lead. Ariffin sent in another senior player, Azimin Hardi for the second half. UBRC goalkeeper, Pratto was well beaten by the Mal

CHRIS KIRK WINS MCGLADREY CLASSICS

Chris Kirk knew he was doing enough right Sunday at Sea Island to win a tournament that means so much to him. He just didn't realize it would take something that went so wrong for Briny Baird . Tied for the lead in The McGladrey Classic , Kirk was on the other side of the 18th fairway trying to envision an approach that would cover the flag and set up a birdie chance for the win. Those plans changed when Baird, with the ball below his feet in a fairway bunker, topped a 4-iron and watched his ball roll 90 yards and into a hazard. Kirk played for par, closed with a 4-under 66 for a one-shot victory, and became the first player from Sea Island to win The McGladrey Classic, even if the 28-year-old moved to Atlanta a few months ago after six years in this tiny slice of paradise. He earned 500 FedExCup points to move to No. 4 in the 2013-14 standings and received the trophy from tournament host Davis Love III , his hero when he first took the game seriously. The victo

ICG TABLE TENNIS: KSKUOB 6 - UBRC 3 It was a moment of truth for the KSKUOB Table Tennis team after winning an epic battle from a three points down to claim a 6-3 victory over Singapore's UBRC at Inter Club Games ( ICG ) in Melaka on Saturday. The Malaysian side had loss to the same opponent in last year's ICG. The win at the Melaka Squash Centre was an unexpected one based on the team preparations before the tournament. After losing a number of key players since July, team manager Ken Choo did not promised a win in table tennis. However, the fighting spirit overcame the nervousness. The confident UBRC team took a clean 3 points lead from their single players through Henrik Ong, Mike Tan and Justin.  KSK pulled back 2 points from Simon Tan and Voon Pak Ching . Then, mixed double Jennie Gong and Ken Choo equalised after winning their match 3-1. The equaliser raised the morale of team KSKUOB. The Malaysian table tennis team earned another three points

MALAYSIA CUP FINAL: KELANTAN 0 - PAHANG 1 A goal by Mathias Conti was enough for Pahang to lift the prestigious  Malaysia Cup after 21-year wait. The Elephants entered the final as the underdogs but they completed their 2013 season with a victory over defending champions Kelantan 1-0 in a pulsating final. The Shah Alam Stadium was packed with both Kelantan and Pahang supporters. It was a dream comes true as Pahang, under the guidance of coach Dollah Salleh . No big names in their side and none had experienced a Cup final before. Facing the Red Warriors with star names and had played in four finals in the last five years, Pahang fought out for total control in the first half. The heavy downpour early in the match did not help both teams in finding the net. As the second half resumed, Pahang maintained their good performance to press Kelantan further. Argentinian Conti sent the yellow-shirted fans into frenzy when his powerful header from Azamuddin 's cro
