Singapore  displayed a great performance to win the Asia Rugby Championship Division II. They beat Thailand 38-13 in an exciting finale at the Taipei Municipal Stadium on Sunday. Singapore stormed into the final after a 49-0 win over India , and Thailand beat host Chinese Taipei to set-up the mouth-watering final. The victory means the Republic are back in Division 1 of the championship. Thailand gave a good fight early in the game. They kept the score narrow before David Gull 's try gave Singapore a comfortable 21-10 lead at the break. Singapore returned stronger in the second half. They gave no space for Thailand to make a comeback. Maverick Lim and Robert Riha extended their advantage to 33-13 just about 15 minutes after the match resumed. Chinese Taipei beat India 37-19 to claim a third place finish in the Asia Rugby Championship Division II. India gave a good fight before going down to the tournament host at the Taipei Municipal Stadium . India stunned the local crowd with a good first half performance. Prince Khatri and M ohit Khatri tries gave India a good 14-10 advantage after 30 minutes into the game. However, Chinese Taipei bounced back right before the break through a try by Huang to take a 17-14 half time lead. The host finally took complete control after the match resumed. Three tries by Chen , Sun and Shen pulled Chinese Taipei away from India's reach. The exhausted Indians could not stop the fast and fitter Chinese Taipei players. Marc Marquez finished third at the season-ending Valencia race to claim his fourth MotoGP title in five years. The 24-year-old Honda rider, who beaten Andrea Dovizioso for the crown, is the youngest rider to win four titles in the class. Dovizioso and his Ducati team-mate Jorge Lorenzo crashed out in separate incidents during the crucial race. Dani Pedrosa powered his Honda to win the race, with Yamaha rookie Johann Zarco in second. Asian Tour rookie Micah Lauren Shin of the United States overcame an early two-shot penalty incurred at the opening hole and defeated Thailand's Arnond Vongvanij at the first play-off hole to win the Resorts World Manila Masters on Sunday. Shin was set back by two shots after having discovered he had 15 clubs in his bag. But that mistake along with another bogey on the third hole only spurred the 20-year-old to force his way back into contention.  Shin reignited his charge starting with a birdie on the fourth hole before firing three successive birdies starting from seven. American John Catlin carded a five-under-par 67 to secure his first wire-to-wire victory and second Asian Development Tour (ADT) title, following the final round of the PGM EurAsia Perak Championship on Saturday. The 26-year-old Catlin, who won his maiden ADT title in 2016, traded seven birdies for two bogeys for a winning total of 16-under-par 272 and a seven-stroke triumph over Australian Martin Dive (279) at the RM200,000(approx.US$44,600) ADT event. Catlin started the round in slow fashion and lost his one stroke lead when he three-putted his first hole and made bogey. He soon found his momentum with two birdies on holes four and five before dropping a shot on the sixth to turn in 36. From then on, he nailed four more birdies on his way home and sealed the deal with a birdie on hole 18. While Kapur's two previous Asian Tour titles were won in Thailand and Chinese Taipei, the Panasonic Open India title was Kapur's first professional victory at the Delhi Golf Club, which is also his home course. Poosit Supupramai of Thailand claimed a sensational victory at the inaugural Defence Raya Golf Championship after closing with a three-under-par 69 on Sunday. The win was especially sweet as the 24-year-old Thai was a late entry into the US$120,000 Asian Development Tour (ADT) event as his visa was only approved on Monday. His patience eventually paid off when he won his first ADT title by one shot with a winning total of 14-under-par 202 in the event which was reduced to 54 holes due to bad weather.
