KEDAH SECURED ONE GOAL ADVANTAGE

​PIALA MALAYSIA: KEDAH 2 - PDRM 1 Kedah won their Malaysia Cup semifinal first leg after the referee awarded three penalties in the match. The home side were awarded a penalty kick after Brazilian Thiago Fernandes was fouled inside the PDRM's penalty box. Fernandes calmly placed his penalty past PDRM goalkeeper Haziq Nadzi for the lead. Two minutes later, PDRM were awarded a penalty after Kedah defender Bang Seung Hwan took down winger Christopher Keli with a clumsy tackle. Brazilian Guilherme De Paula had to retake his penalty but the striker did not make a mistake from his second attempt to level for the visitors. In the 80th minute, Kedah were awarded another penalty after Fernandes was fouled by PDRM keeper Haziq. Midfielder Liridon Krasniqi placed the ball into the left corner of the next to earn Kedah the win. PDRM will host Kedah in the return leg on Oct 15 at Hang Jebat Stadium.

BENGALURU GIVE JDT TOUGH MISSION IN SECOND LEG

AFC CUP SEMIFINALS (FIRST LEG) JOHOR DT 1 - BEGALURU 1 Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) were held by Bengaluru FC to a 1-1 draw. The visitor picked a crucial away goal in the first leg of the AFC Cup semifinals. JDT should have taken a 27th minute lead through Juan Martin Lucero. The Argentine did everything right with a firm header that was destined for the far corner, but Bengaluru goalkeeper Amrinder Singh pulled off a miraculous stop to claw the forward's effort away. Seven minutes after the break, JDT went in front as the visitors' 23-year-old keeper was finally beaten. TERENGGANU THRASH ATM IN AGONG'S CUP QUARTERFINAL

PIALA AGONG QUARTERFINAL TERENGGANU 27 - ATM 8 Terengganu displayed an impressive performance in their Agong's Cup quarterfinal match to secure a place in the last four stage. The rising east coast side who beat Perlis and Selangor in their Group B matches did not choke against the hard fighting ATM at UPM Rugby Field. ATM did not give it easy for Terengganu. They lead the 8-7 after the first half. However, Terengganu showed their true character after the break. They powered through to the end with 20 points to give the a deserving 27-8 victory over ATM. It will be their second consecutive Agong's Cup semifinal on 30th September.

JOHOR DT CELEBRATE SUPER LEAGUE WIN IN STYLE

LIGA SUPER: JOHOR DT 5 - T-TEAM 1 Johor DT (JDT) celebrated their 2016 Malaysia Super League success after an easy victory over T-Team at Larkin Stadium. Juan Martin Lucero netted a hat trick as JDT basked in their Super League trophy celebrations with a 5-1 demolition of T-Team on Saturday night. The Southern Tigers scored four times in an entertaining first half at Larkin Stadium as they took their goal tally for the season to 54 in 21 games. JDT goal fest begin as Lucero led the celebrations, with a single-handed destruction of the T-team. After Amirulhadi Zainal opened the score in the sixth minute, Lucero struck twice in the first half, before topping the cake with another on the hour mark. An Abdoulaye Maiga own-goal added to T-Team's misery, who could only muster a scant consolation effort through Patrick Cruz . PDRM FALL TO JOHOR IN AGONG'S CUP QUARTERFINALS

PIALA AGONG QUARTERFINAL PDRM 23 - JOHOR 28 Johor edged PDRM 28-23 in quarterfinal to book a place in the Agong's Cup last four. The southern team started-off aggresively with early penalty by Razitaman Kaalam . Wan Mohd Asyraf Norudin made a try in the 7th minute and Firdaus Rozan 's conversion gave Johor more advantage. PDRM could not hold Johor's aggresive approach and were down 13-28 after the first half. The under presure PDRM side came on stronger in the second half. The defended well and started to break into Johor's try area. However, only ten points was obtained and not enough to stop Johor from taking the semifinal spot. JDT II DROP POINTS AGAINST KL

LIGA PREMIER: JDT II 1 - KUALA LUMPUR 1 Johor DT II were held at home by Kuala Lumpur in another Malaysia Premier League match last night. The home side started-off perfectly with an early goal by Irfan Fazail in the first minute. Kuala Lumpur had a hard time to settle down as JDT II took control early in the match.  However, four minutes before the break Jonathan Zorrilla Viviana scored the equalizer for Kuala Lumpur. Both sides came on into the second half to find the winning goal but failed. The score did not change in the 45 minutes and Kuala Lumpur escaped JDT II's test with an away draw.

JOHOR DT IN AFC CUP LAST FOUR

AFC CUP QUARTERFINALS JOHOR DT 2 - SOUTH CHINA 1 Defending champion, Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) overcame a penalty miss from captain Safiq Rahim in a 2-1 victory over Hong Kong's South China in the second leg of the quarterfinals yesterday. Argentine strikers Juan Martin Lucero and Jorge Pereyra Diaz scored JDT's goals in the second half at Larkin Stadium to give the Malaysian giants a 3-2 win on aggregate. Both teams played out a 1-1 draw in last week's first leg, and this return tie had all the makings of an encapsulating contest. South China started well with a great chance in the sixth minute through Mahama Awal 's cross but failed to find the first-leg scorer Nikola Komazec . In the 19th minutes, Komazec powered a shot but the ball went straight to JDT goalkeeper Izham Tarmizi. JDT lost right-back S. OSKAR ARVIDSSON CLINCHES KUALA LUMPUR CHAMPIONSHIP

Overnight co-leader Oskar Arvidsson of Sweden recorded a memorable victory after closing with a third consecutive four-under-par 67 to win by two shots at the PGM MIDF TPC Kuala Lumpur Championship on Saturday. It was a maiden Asian Development Tour (ADT) title and a first professional win for the 25-year-old Swede, who nailed six birdies against two bogeys for a winning total of 15-under-par 269 at the RM200,000 (approximately US$46,600) event. Singapore's Mitchell Slorach returned with a flawless round highlighted by two birdies to settle for a runner-up finish, marking his best result on the ADT so far this season at the TPC Kuala Lumpur, formerly known as the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club. 2013 ADT Order of Merit champion Nicholas Fung posted a 68 to emerge as the highest-placed Malaysian in third place on 272 while compatriot Danny Chia (68) and Indonesian George Gandranata (71) came in a further two shots back in fourth.  PGM MIDF TPC Kuala

TERENGGANU SINK PERLIS IN SERDANG

PIALA AGONG: TERENGGANU 34 - PERLIS 10 Terengganu kicked start their Agong's Cup campaign with a convincing win over Perlis at UPM Serdang. The east coast side showed a strong performance to tame their opponent 34-10. Perlis who won their opening match against Selangor last week could not maintain good form. Two tries by Sevanaia Natuitagalua and one by Joseva Nasalo were enough to give Terengganu a comfortable 22-3 advantage at half time. Terengganu controlled the game steadily after the break. Perlis found it hard to break the well organized Terengganu side. Tries by Muhamad Faiz Izzuddin Azmi and Muhamad Muzamir Noor Azhar took them further, although Perlis got their only try through Amirul Mukminin Amizan in the 64th minute. MELAKA UNITED WIN PREMIER LEAGUE AFTER A GREAT SEASON

LIGA PREMIER: MELAKA 1 - JDT II 1 Melaka United capped a stupendous season by clinching the Premier League title, after a 1-1 draw against closest rivals JDTII on Friday night. The trophy comes after the Mousedeers had confirmed their return to the Malaysia Super League (MSL) for the first time in 10 years since the 2007 season. Melaka took the lead through  Yashir Pinto Islame   against the hard fighting JDTII in the 78th minute. However, the visitor pulled back with a late equaliser by Rafael Bonfim in the injury time. Melaka have lost only once in the league all season, with 15 victories to their name so far. After their solitary 2-1 defeat to Perlis in May, Melaka went on a nine-game winning spree, largely fueled by the prowess of Yugoslavia-born hitman Ilija Spasojevic , who scored 17 goals in that period. The Premier League title was also the club's first since the 2005-06 season when they were promoted to the MSL.

KELANTAN CLAIM NARROW WIN OVER KEDAH

PIALA AGONG: KELANTAN 25 - KEDAH 21 Kelantan survived the toughest test in their Agong's Cup group stage after edging Kedah 25-21 on Saturday. Kedah tried to stage a comeback in the second half, but Kelantan cruised away to victory with confidence. Kelantan took full control of the first half. Mohd Syahir Asraf Rosli and Aisea Bici Druma helped their team to a steady 19-0 lead at the break. Kedah were very different in the second half. They threw everything into the game and tries by Noor Alif Noor Habib , Mohd Hafizudin Amin Mohd Akhir and Mohamad Nazrin Puat put them close to their opponent. But Kelantan somehow found a way to claim the win. Two penalties in the 50th and 75th minute by Mohamad Syarif Saiful Aazwan Sudin seemed to be the most important kicks in the match. JDT WIN THIRD CONSECUTIVE SUPER LEAGUE TITLE

LIGA SUPER: JOHOR DT 3 - TERENGGANU 0 Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) secured their third successive Malaysia Super League title after defeating Terengganu 3-0 in Larkin on Friday. Felda United finished second with 42 points, ten points behind the champions with just two games left to play. The Southern Tigers were at their best again giving Terengganu no chance for a fight back. JDT opened the scoring afer 29 minutes when Jorge Pereyra Diaz found the net. Terengganu held on despite the pressures until the break. JDT came on into the second half with the same winning character. They deny all attempts by the visitors. Safiq Rahim got into the scoresheet in the 83rd minute. Terengganu seemed to have lost the battle as JDT were given a penalty two minutes later. PIALA AGONG: PDRM 97 - KUALA LUMPUR 3 PDRM continued their good run in this season's Agong's Cup campaign with a comfortable 97-3 win over Kuala Lumpur . The Cops took control of the match at Pulapol as Kuala Lumpur failed to match the well prepared homeside. PDRM opened the scoring after three minutes through Tulee Lemeki 's try. They scored another 4 tries before the break. KL could only score a penalty in the 34th minute. PDRM headed into half time with 31-3 lead. PDRM came on after the break with great advantage. They got another 10 tries in the last forty minutes. Tulee was the star of the day for PDRM as he made 4 tries in the match. The Cops look good to cruise into the quarterfinals after claiming two wins from two matches.

KHAVISH VARADAN CLAIM JUNIOR PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

Khavish Varman Varadan won the sudden-death playoff to claim the prestigious Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by TaylorMade-adidas Golf on Sunday. The Malaysian-born player emerged as the victor with a tournament-total 10-under-par 206. Even after a tournament-low 7-under-par 65 in the second round, the Malaysian-born Varadan still found himself looking up at tournament leader, Cole Hammer of USA. Playing from behind didn't change Varadan's game plan. The Malaysian fired a final round four-under 68 at Sawgrass Country Club before defeating Cole Hammer on the first extra hole to win the tournament conducted by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA). ALEX NOREN BEAT SCOTT HEND TO WIN THE OMEGA EUROPEAN MASTERS

Alex Noren of Sweden holed a 30-foot birdie putt on the first play-off hole to defeat a battling Scott Hend of Australia and win the Omega European Masters for the second time in his career. Noren, who won the Swiss showpiece in 2009, returned with a five-under-par 65 to end his campaign tied on 17-under-par 263 alongside Hend (66) as they returned to the 18th hole for extra time at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club. Victory did not come easy for the Swede who had to hold off the strong challenge from overnight leader Hend, who played solid golf except for two poor tee shots on the 18th hole where he saved par. PIALA AGONG: NEGERI SEMBILAN 10 - PUTRAJAYA 11 Putrajaya took full advantage over unsettled Negeri Sembilan in Mantin with a narrow 11-10 win in Agong's Cup first group match. Negeri Sembilan struggled to show their true potential despite playing on their home ground. Putrajaya got off with a strong start and lead 8-5 at half time.  Negeri Sembilan could not deny the their opponent's growing confidence. KELANTAN HAMMERED KL IN AGONG'S CUP OPENER

PIALA AGONG: KELANTAN 76 - KUALA LUMPUR 0 Kelantan opened their 2016 Agong's Cup campaign with a convincing 76-0 win over Kuala Lumpur . The 2010-2012 champions took control of the match at UPM Serdang from the start, and succesfully prevented Kuala Lumpur from scoring any point last Saturday. Kelantan took a comfortable 43-0 lead after the break but they scored another 33 points in the second half. Kuala Lumpur could not stop their aggressive opponents which led by national captain Mohd Syahir Asraf . Kelantan's import, Aisea Bici Druma scored a hattrick of tries, and Zulmajdi Kama Razali succesfully kicked six conversions to help their team claiming first win of the season.
