SABAH HAMMER ATM TO JOIN AGONGS CUP FINAL FOUR

PIALA AGONG: SABAH 32 - ATM 15

Sabah beat ATM 32-15 in the Agong's Cup quarterfinal match at the UPM Rugby Field on Sunday. The defending champions were quite unsettled at the start but overcame it as the match progressed.

PDRM were quick to take advantage with a try in the 5th minute. However, Sabah got back in business as usual ten minutes later with a try by Jonathan V.Tan. Former All Blacks Orene Aii completed the conversion for his team to take over the lead. Sabah got another try in the 21st minute through Dahlan Daud. Badrul Musa gave Sabah a comfortable 17-5 lead before half time with his try in the 39th minute.

Sabah did not waste much time after the match resumed as they scored two tries in the 46th and 56th minute by Azman Osman. PDRM also got two tries in the second half but a late try by Ardyaffendi Mohd Arifin put Sabah beyond the Cops' reach. Sabah will play their semifinal match against last year's runner-up Terengganu at UPM on Wednesday.
