MALAYSIA CUP: PAHANG STAYS ON THE RIGHT TRACK

PIALA MALAYSIA: PKNS 0 - PAHANG 2

Pahang ensure their target to win the third consecutive Malaysia Cup is on track after beating PKNS in Selayang. The Elephants gave a good show before claiming a 2-0 win away from home.

PKNS did not give it up easily to their visitors. Both teams were equally good in the goalless first half.

However, Zainal Abidin's men put extra effort after the break. Mohd Azammuddin Akil found the net in the 52nd minute to give Pahang the lead.

PKNS tried to find the equalizer, but Pahang's defence was rock solid. Dickson Nwakaeme sealed the victory for the visitors in the added time from a spot kick after Gopinathan was brought down in the penalty area.
