TERENGGANU OVERCOME PDRM FOR SEMIFINAL SPOT

PIALA AGONG: TERENGGANU 31 - PDRM 14

Terengganu confirmed their place in the final four of the 2015 Agong's Cup after sinking PDRM 31-14 at UPM Rugby Field on Sunday. The 2014 finalist had to make a comeback in the second half after being down 10-14 before the break. 

Suliano Volivoli sent Terengganu ahead with a try four minutes after the start. The East Coast side were 10-nil up after another try in the 23rd minute by Muhamad Syaril Laila. PDRM did not give it up easily. They scored a try just one minute later. After the conversion and the Cops were eager to get more. In the 35th minute, PDRM took over the lead with another try and conversion .

Terengganu came back in the second half with more organized approaches. They strengthened their defence and pushed for points. Just three minutes after the restart, Terengganu were back in charge after Mohd Fairuz Abd Rahman scored a penalty. A minute later they were in front again with another try.

Terengganu piled more pressure on PDRM and earned another two penalties. Mohd Fairuz made no mistakes from the spot to send his team closer to the semifinal. A last minute try by Mohd Fairuz sealed the victory for Terengganu who will be facing Sabah in the semifinal.
