PERAK BLOW CHANCES, MAKE WAY FOR PKNS FC IN FA CUP

FA CUP: PERAK 2(3) - PKNS 2(4)

PKNS FC held Perak to a 2-2 draw in Ipoh and secured a place in the Malaysia FA Cup Semifinals. After a 2-1 win in Shah Alam in the first leg match, PKNS FC went all out to deny the Bos Gaurus from stealing away the slot in the last four.

The first forty-five minutes saw both sides defended well and remained scoreless. However, PKNS were more dangerous after the restart. Rodney Celvin Akwensivie found the net in the 55th minute to make it more difficult for the home side. A successful penalty in the 64th minute by K. Gurusamy killed-off Perak's chances.

Perak tried to bounce back with two goals by Nor Hakim Hassan and Nasir Basharudin in the last twenty minutes. But not enough to stop PKNS from qualifying into the next stage. PKNS FC will face Selangor in the semis.
