Sabah is the new Piala Agong champions after defeating Terengganu 29-10 at the UKM Rugby Stadium last Saturday. The East Malaysian produced a powerful performance and gives Terengganu a very hard time. Terengganu started with a positive note when Mohamad Faiz Abdul Rashid scored an early penalty.

However, Sabah bounced back strongly after that. Jonathan De Souza got a try in the 5th minute to send Sabah in front. Orene Aii took the conversion perfectly before adding more points for Sabah from two penalty kicks in the 14th and 21st minute.

As the game nearing to the break, Orene scored another penalty to give Sabah a comfortable 16-3 lead at half time.

Terengganu managed to get a try in the 86th minute, and converted it. Though, it was too late to catch the confidence needed by them. Sabah held on strongly to win the Agong's Cup.
