PAHANG SINK SELANGOR IN CHERAS

LIGA SUPER: SELANGOR 1 - PAHANG 3

Pahang stunned Selangor with a 3-1 away win at the Cheras Stadium. The home side struggled to find their game after losing their midweek match against Terengganu. Former Red Giants striker, Forkey Doe destroyed his former team with two goals in the second half.

The Elephants started well and took an early lead with Patrick Cruz's goal in the 6th minute. Selangor's top scorer, Rufina Segovia scored his fifth goal of the season to equalise in the 40th minute. Both teams were tied 1-1 at the break.

Pahang came back stronger in the second half as Selangor missed many chances. Forkey Doe put the visitors into the driving seat again as he found the net five minutes after the match resumed. Selangor were desperate to find another equaliser but clumsy as the referee awarded Pahang a penalty. Forkey Doe calmly scored from the spot to give Pahang a comfortable 3-1 advantage. The result stood until the final whistle, Pahang moved up to third place in Liga Super, and Selangor fell to fifth.
