MERSING EAGLES CRASH TO SSTMI

MRSL: SSTMI 52 - MERSING EAGLE 31

Mersing Eagles went down to SSTMI 31-52 in Malaysia Rugby Super League match in Serdang on Saturday. SSTMI proved to be unstoppable after making 5 tries in the second half of the match.

​Mersing Eagles took the lead from two tries in the 7th and 11th minute by Joshua Barak Kiniviliame. And Abdul Anas Azwal scored one of the two conversions. However, Mohd Saizul Hafiz Md Noor brought SSTMI back into the game with a try in the 14th minute. Muhammad Faizal Md Tahir did not make mistake for the conversion.

Both teams were eaqually strong as Joshua Barak made two more tries for the Eagles before the break. SSTMI did not let the Eagles to fly free with tries by Muhammad Hafzan Bakri and Mohd Saizul to go into half time trailing 21-23. 

​​Mersing players looked exhausted in the second half, while SSTMI pace remained the same. Eagles could only get one try in the 57th minute through Joshua Barak, but SSTMI broke away with tries from Muhammad Dzafran Asyraff, Asroy Alhamdy Mohd Rizal, Mohamad Nur Azri and Muhammad Hafzan. SSTMI's consistent performance worked very well against the unfit Eagles.
