NEGERI SEMBILAN CRUISE INTO SEMIFINALS

MALAYSIA FA CUP (QUARTERFINALS)
NEGERI SEMBILAN 0 - SABAH 0
*Negeri Sembilan win with 1-0 agregate

Negeri Sembilan qualified to the Malaysia FA Cup semifinals after edging Sabah with 1-0 agregate. They won the first leg match in Kota Kinabalu, but tied to a 0-0 draw in the second leg match at home. More than 20,000 supporters turned-up to watch the match at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi.

Despite having strong support from the home crowd, Negeri Sembilan failed to break Sabah's defence. They had at least four attempts which were denied by the post. Sabah were counting on Leopold Alfonso and Rahman Shah Marjaeh to break the deadlock, but their attempts were off-target or denied by Negeri Sembilan's defenders.

The home side also had their best line-up for the match, with Bruno Suzuki and Marko Simic upfront. Though it was very difficult to increase their team's advantage. At the end, it was a satisfying result for Negeri Sembilan. They will meet the winner of another quarterfinal clash between Pahang and Johor DT.
