KERIS CONLAY WIN MALAYSIA RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP

MALAYSIA RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP
KERIS CONLAY 15 - EAGLES RC 12

Keris Conlay proved that they are the current strongest rugby club in Malaysia. The MRL Premier champions claimed the Malaysia Rugby Championship after beating MRL East Division champions, Eagles Rugby Club 15-12 on Saturday.

Keris Conlay had an early setback as Tevita Seru was shown the yellow card just after four minutes into the game. Eagles RC took the advantage with a try by Mohd Fikry Sawi, and conversion by Kurt Alexander Nicholas Eklund. Keris Conlay got themselves back into the game after two minutes later. Two tries in the 14th and 22nd minutes by Peniasi Senikarakia and Mohd Fared Yahya put them ahead. Mohd Fairuz Ab Rahman scored a conversion and a penalty to give Keris Conlay a comfortable lead at the break.

Eagles RC returned to the pitch to overturn 5-15 score. They made a bigger impact and got a converted try through Eric Durim. However, Keris Conlay showed maturity and experience to ground the Eagles. They held on with the advantage and win their second trophy of the season, which is the most prestigious championship in Malaysia's club competitions.
