RYAN MOORE LEADS IN KUALA LUMPUR AFTER SETTING NEW COURSE RECORD

In his third appearance at CIMB Classic, Ryan Moore took the lead at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC) after setting a new course record with 9-under-63. After a bogey start at first hole, the two time winner of PGA Tour recovered with birdies at all four par-3s. Moore is so delighted with his current form where he recorded 4 twos in a single championship round.

At the end of the first day, three time PGA Winner Keegan Bradley is just 2 strokes behind the leader while eight time PGA winner Sergio Garcia made a late charge to stay just a single stroke behind Bradley. Tournament favourite, Phil Mickelson could only settle with 1 under 71. The American is the highest ranked player in the field.
