ADAM SCOTT SETS NEW COURSE RECORD TO WIN GRAND SLAM

Adam Scott won the PGA Grand Slam of Golf with a new course record at Port Royal 7-under 64. The Masters champion claimed victory with two shots over U.S. Open champion Justin Rose.

Scott trailed by 4 shots with 10 holes to play. He eagled at 17th hole to overtake Rose. The Australian finished at 8-under 134 to collect the pink jacket to go along with the green jacket he won at Augusta. Scott used a 6-iron which was also used on the second playoff hole at Augusta National when he defeated Angel Cabrera.

PGA champion Jason Dufner, who started two shots behind, fell off the pace quickly. He closed with a 70 to finish alone in third, five shots behind. Padraig Harrington, a three-time major winner, shot 71 and finished eight behind.

Scott also earned an honorary membership at Port Royal for setting the new course record. Lucas Glover registered a 65 in 2009.
