RYAN MOORE CAPTURES CIMB CLASSIC 2013

He set a new course record on the first day at KLGCC with 9-under 63. He was the joint leaders in three out of four days playing in this tournament. No doubt, Ryan Moore is the deserving champions at the 2013 CIMB Classic, even though it has to be decided in a playoff.

Ryan Moore and Gary Woodland have to return for a sudden-death playoff on Monday after they completed four rounds at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club tied at 14-under. Moore hit an 8-iron to 3-feet. After Woodland's chip from just off the green came up short, Moore made his birdie putt to secure his third PGA Tour victory.

At 30 years, 10 months and 21 days, Moore is the youngest winner in the history of the event and the fourth consecutive winner in his 30s at the CIMB Classic joining Ben Crane, Bo Van Pelt and Nick Watney. It is also his 40th career top-10 finish and the result moves him up to number 2 in the FedExCup leaderboard.

Monday was also Gary Woodland's second career runner-up finish having also lost in a playoff to Jhonnatan Vegas at the 2011 Humana Challenge during his rookie season. The runner-up is Woodland's ninth top-10 finish of his career.

The 2013 CIMB Classic is the most suspense in the tournament history. Most top 10 players were still within reach for the championship at the last 2 holes. Two T3 players were just a single stroke behind the leader, and the top six players were separated by just 3 strokes.
