PERAK EDGE KEDAH TO CLAIM SUKMA GOLD

Perak bagged their third consecutive SUKMA football gold medal after defeating Kedah 2-1 in the finals at the Perak Football Stadium. The Bos Gaurus had won the gold medals in football for the past two SUKMA editions since 2014.

Kedah showed strong determination in front of 15,000 Perak supporters. After a goalless first half, Kedah finally found the net in the 64th minute through Fadzrul Danel's stunning free kick.

Just three minutes later, Muhammad Alif Safwan equalised for Perak with a brilliant header. The hosts were back in business after the goal. Muhammad Asyraaf Mat Pushni scored the winner in the 71st minute and Perak cruised to victory.

In the third place match at Stadium Majlis Perbandaran Manjung, Sabah edged Terengganu 2-1 to win the SUKMA bronze medal.
