MALAYSIA CLAIMS DOUBLE VICTORY IN CAUSEWAY RUGBY CHALLENGE

Malaysia bagged double victory in the 2014 Causeway Rugby Challenge Shield after both of under 23 and under 18 squad win the match respectively which the tournament was held at Universiti Perdana Malaysia in Serdang on Saturday.

Interrupted by heavy downpour from the start, it did not stop for both Malaysia and Singapore to produced a high octane performance which Malaysia Under23 squad finally sealed the game with a 15-11 win against the visitors.

It was Singapore who put the game beyond Malaysia with a 6-0 score in a first half, a contribution from a drop goal and a penalty.

Zulkiflee Azmi put the blushes away for Malaysia after the centre-half hits with two tries before Mohd Nazreen Fitri complete the win with a conversion and a penalty in second half.

To the shock, Singapore manage to reduce the deficit with a try in injury time but it's already late to stop Malaysia in getting the revenge done after losing with a 26-12 score to the Lions last year.

In under18 category, Malaysia gunned down Singapore with a hard fought match before ending the game in style with 11-8.
