KS DBKL SECURE A PLACE IN NICC FINAL

RUGBY NICC: KS DBKL 26 - MERLIMAU POLYTECH 8

KS DBKL booked the final spot of the 2014 National Interclub Rugby Championship (NICC) after defeating Merlimau Polytech 26-8 at Bellamy field on Saturday. The Kuala Lumpur side were stunned by an early penalty in the 4th minute by Muhammad Zhamir Nordin. KS DBKL reorganized their game and got a try in the 23rd minute through Nakia Neisiasi Moato and Tora Vatiliai Tuisabeto completed the conversion. Merlimau Polytech were back in the game with a try by Muhammad Ismail in the 32nd minute.

However, KS DBKL cut short Merlimau's cheer just three minutes later. Nor Amirul Faiz sneaked through to the touchline and he himself confidently converted from the spot to give KS DBKL a strong 14-8 lead at the half time.

Both side resumed the match with Merlimau Polytech pushed to their best. KS DBKL did not make mistake and were rewarded with another try by Mohd Zamani Rosli eight minutes after restart. Merlimau Polytech ran out of idea against the mighty KS DBKL. They were punished again in the 70th minute when Nakia reached for another try. The game was wrapped for KS DBKL after Tora completed the conversion a minute later.
