KEDAH BEAT PENANG IN BATU KAWAN

LIGA SUPER: PENANG 0 - KEDAH 2

Kedah managed to collect three full points after beating host, Penang with 2-0 score at Batu Kawan Stadium, last Saturday. Played in front of 15 000 supporters, both team looks caution in attack and could only settle a tied of 0-0 in the first half. Entering to the second round, Penang put more pressure in attack through Faiz Subri. Penang's lack of finishing and great form Mohd Farhan Abu Bakar ensured Kedah safe from the danger.

Kedah finally led the match after Penang's goal keeper Amirul Asyraf failed to clear the ball from Sandro Mendoza free kick. Ken Ilso Larsen grabbed the chances and made no mistake to slot the ball into the net in the 61st minutes. Baddrol Bakhtiar put Kedah in comfort after his kick surfed through into the goal post in 73rd minutes. Kedah now are in second position with 31 points after 17 matches played and trailing JDT with 9 points with only 5 more games to play.
