KHAVISH VARADAN CLAIM JUNIOR PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

Khavish Varman Varadan won the sudden-death playoff to claim the prestigious Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by TaylorMade-adidas Golf on Sunday. The Malaysian-born player emerged as the victor with a tournament-total 10-under-par 206. Even after a tournament-low 7-under-par 65 in the second round, the Malaysian-born Varadan still found himself looking up at tournament leader, Cole Hammer of USA. Playing from behind didn't change Varadan's game plan.

The Malaysian fired a final round four-under 68 at Sawgrass Country Club before defeating Cole Hammer on the first extra hole to win the tournament conducted by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA). The 16-year-old totalled 10-under-par 206, which included an impressive tournament low seven-under 65 in the second round.
