JDT WIN THIRD CONSECUTIVE SUPER LEAGUE TITLE

LIGA SUPER: JOHOR DT 3 - TERENGGANU 0

Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) secured their third successive Malaysia Super League title after defeating Terengganu 3-0 in Larkin on Friday. Felda United finished second with 42 points, ten points behind the champions with just two games left to play.

The Southern Tigers were at their best again giving Terengganu no chance for a fight back. JDT opened the scoring afer 29 minutes when Jorge Pereyra Diaz found the net. Terengganu held on despite the pressures until the break.

JDT came on into the second half with the same winning character. They deny all attempts by the visitors. Safiq Rahim got into the scoresheet in the 83rd minute. Terengganu seemed to have lost the battle as JDT were given a penalty two minutes later. Diaz calmly scored JDT's third of the night from the spot, and took his team to the Super League title again.
