PENGUINS WIN COBRA 10S AFTER EDGING DBKL IN FINAL

Penguins International claimed the 45th edition of COBRA 10s Rugby Tournament title. The Penguins beat DBKL Sports Club (DBKL) 27-21 in a hard fought final at MBPJ Stadium on Sunday.

Tries from Antonio Kiri Kiri, Lu Laulala, Ben nee-nee, Name Favia and conversion by Nick Smith sealed the victory for the Penguins. DBKL gave a good fight throughout the match, but a last minute try killed their chance. Penguins took the top prize money of USD10,000. They have won the Cobra 10s six times since 1993.

DBKL made it to the final after beating host, Cobra 19-12, while the Penguins defeated 2013 champions, Borneo Eagles 24-19 in the other semi final match.
