KELANTAN HOLDS SIME DARBY IN FA CUP FIRST LEG

FA CUP: SIME DARBY 1 - KELANTAN 1

Sime Darby failed to record a good result in the FA Cup quarter final first leg match as they were held by Kelantan 1-1 at the Selayang Stadium. Playing on their home ground, Sime Darby struggled to find the goals they need before playing the second leg in Kota Bharu on 21st April. Kelantan enjoyed a good away match as they were backed by about 5000 supporters.

The Red Warriors took the lead in the 44th minute when Erwin Carillo beat goalkeeper Suffian Ab Rahman. However, the excitement lasted for just two minutes before the home side equalised in the injury time. Nemanja Vidakovic header beat Khairul Fahmi Che Mat before the half time break.

Sime Darby returned for the second half in a more organized approach. But Kelantan played a solid defense to hold the score until the final whistle. The new team manager, Azraai Khor got the job done for Kelantan to escape from Selayang with a draw and an away goal.
