SERDANG ANGELS BEAT UNLUCKY COBRA IN UPM

MALAYSIA RUGBY LEAGUE: SERDANG ANGELS 21 - COBRA 20 Serdang Angels got away with a narrow win over Cobra after a playing good second half in Malaysia Premier League Premier Division match on Saturday. The Angels edged Cobra 21-20 at the UPM Rugby field after trailing the visitors 7-13 at halftime. Cobra started-off well. They took the lead after six minutes by Ryoma Kudo . Four minutes later Sae Faalupega got a try for Cobra before Angels reduced the deficit in the 17th minute through Mohd Ikwan Akmal Zulkipli . Muhammad Faizal Md Tahir scored the conversion to keep Angels just a point behind the visitors. Though, Mohd Syahir Asraf Rosli made another try in the 27th minute, and the score remained until the break. Serdang Angels were more organized in the second half. MERSING EAGLES TOP THE GROUP AFTER SLIM WIN OVER SERDANG ANGELS

MRL PREMIER: SERDANG ANGELS 35 - MERSING EAGLES 33 Mersing Eagles continued their fine run in the Malaysia Rugby League Premier Division with a slim victory over Serdang Angels . The Eagles have shown their consistency by winning four group matches which see them topped Group A. Mersing Eagles were quick to settle down on the Angels' ground by making three tries and three conversions in the first half. Jone Vucukula , Farid Sujari , Apolosi Tuiluma Tanda and Wan Mohamad Asyraf contributed 21 points while Serdang Angels could only pick 5 points from Mohd Nurazman Ramli 's try. Mersing Eagles stretched the lead to 28-5 with a try by Mohd Zaiheri and conversion by Wan Mohamad Asyraf. But, Angels were back into the game with three consecutive tries and conversions which reduced the gap to 28-26. UPM ANGELS BEAT IIUM MUSTANGS IN SUPER 8 FINAL

IPT SUPER 8: UPM ANGELS 31 - IIUM MUSTANGS 11 UPM Serdang Angels clinched the 2014 IPT Super 8 title after defeating IIUM Mustangs 31-11 at the UPM Stadium on Sunday. The Angels took full control of the match to deny the Mustangs cup dream. UPM took an early lead just after three minutes into the game when Muhammad Nazreen Fitri converted a penalty. They did not take long to send the crowd on their feet again when Nazmi Hussin tried six minute later. IIUM could not stop the flying Angels. UPM got another two tries from Muhammad Syafiq in the 27th and 30th minutes. Muhammad Aliff Nazrin managed to score a penalty for IIUM, but they were still down 3-23 at the break. IIUM was more organized early in the second half. Muhammad Aliff scored another penalty six minutes after the match resumed. However, the Angels were not in the mood to give IIUM a fighting chance. POLITEKNIK MALAYSIA STUNNED SERDANG ANGELS AT UPM

MRL PREMIER: POLITEKNIK MALAYSIA 19 - SERDANG ANGELS 17 It was another upset of the week in Malaysia Rugby League Premier Division as Politeknik Malaysia came from behind to beat 2016 Super League champ at their home backyard. Politeknik Malaysia staged an incredible comeback to beat Serdang Angels 19-17 at UPM Rugby Field on Saturday. The Angels had a better first half with two tries by Mohamad Ikhwan Akmal and Mohamad Syarif Saiful Aazwan , while Politeknik could only score from two penalties which saw them trailing the Angels 6-12 at the break. It was a different kind of play in the second half. Politeknik Malaysia were more organized and confident to put the pressure on Angels. SABAH ANGELS, PANAGA CROCS WIN AT LABUAN 10'S RUGBY CARNIVAL

Sabah Angels Warriors  defeated  KK Sharks  19-0 in the final to claim the Womens title at the  Labuan 10's Rugby Carnival . The Angels displayed an outstanding performance to secure the Womens Category.  Victorian Queens  beat Brunei's  Panaga Phyhons  15-7 to claim the Plate, and  ERC Womens  hammered  UMS Islanders  for the Bowl. Panaga Crocs  beat  Tawau Oldboys  17-7 in the cup final to win the Labuan 10’s Veterans’ title. In the Plate final,  OSCA Legends  edged  Brunei Bastidos  14-10.  KRFC Blackcatz Legends  defeated  Sandakan Oldboys  21-5 to clinch the Bowls title. SRU Academy  clinched the Girls Under-17 title after beating  Labuan Development  24-14 in the final. And  SMSM Angels  hammered  SMK Tungku  33-0 to take home the Plate title. KERIS CONLAY END SERDANG ANGELS MRL CAMPAIGN

MRL PREMIER QUARTERFINALS KERIS CONLAY 20 - SERDANG ANGELS 15 Keris Conlay marched into the semifinals of Malaysia Rugby League  (MRL) Premier Division after defeating Serdang Angels in a weather interrupted match. It was rated as match of week as both team were finalists in last year's Super League . The officials had to stop the match twice due to lightnings and heavy downpour, but Keris Conlay powered through it to win their quarterfinal clash. Keris Conlay were quick to take control of the game. Ahmad Syazwan Shuid delivered the first try for Keris Conlay just five minutes after kick-off. Mohd Fairuz Ab Rahman made no mistake from the spot to score the conversion. Then, it was a moment of brilliance in the 8th minute as Mohd Fairuz stunned everyone with a drop goal. SERDANG ANGELS RETAIN SUPER 8 TITLE

UPM Serdang Angels accomplished their mission in a style by winning the 2015 IPT Super 8 title. The defending champions thrashed MSP Hornets 53-0 at the UPM Stadium on Sunday. The Angels started aggressively and were rewarded after five minutes play when Faat Hot Rozi Ismail scored with a try. The Angels stretched the game with another two tries followed by a conversion, and a penalty to end the first half with a comfortable 20-0 advantage. Second half resumed with MSF Hornets making a few numbers of substitution to strengthen their squad. The home team kept on pumping for more and hit with another five tries, two penalties and a conversion. The score held firm till end and UPM Serdang Angels sealed the second half with 53-0 score to claim the victory. By winning the final, the Angels pocketing RM5000 plus a challenge trophy while UITM Lions claimed the third place after beating UM Blues with 48-13 score earlier before the finals. ​​MRSL: COBRA 23 - SERDANG ANGELS 8 COBRA confirmed their place in the semi final of 2015 Rugby Super League after the rugby powerhouse successfully beat home favorite Serdang Angels 22-8 at UPM Rugby Field in Serdang on Saturday. COBRA took an early lead with Vatimio Rabebe try in 15th minutes followed by Sae Faalupega penalty ten minutes later before Mohamad Syarif Saiful Azwan reduced the deficit for Serdang Angels with a penalty late in the first half. ​The Rugby Powerhouse looses a bit of the grip when Mohamad Faiz Helmi grabbed an equalizer with a try nine minutes after restart. UPM Serdang Angels clinched the Kuching 7's title after defeating home team KRFC Blackcatz in the cup final. The 2015 Champions completed their perfect run at the tournament with a comfortable 29-5 victory. Blackcatz entered the cup final after beating Wolfpack 24-0 in the semifinal, and the Angels cruised into the final with a 29-0 win over SHOAW Warriors . The young and dangerous SHOAW Warriors showed huge potential as they stunned Wolfpack 17-7 to take the third place. Perantau Brothers edged WORC 17-15 to win the Plate category. UPM ANGELS POWER TO VICTORY AT MELAKA SEVENS

UPM Serdang Angels lifted the Chief Minister Cup after winning the Melaka 7's on Sunday. The Angels defeated RMP Blues 26-10 in the final at the Dataran Klebang in Melaka. The Blues made it to the final after beating MMU Hornbills 14-7 in the quarterfinals and Kuantan Palmyras 19-0 in the semifinals. UPM Serdang Angels beat XMoruc A in the quarters before defeating PMM Hornets 25-0 in the last four. PMM Hornets claimed the third place as they won their last match against Kuantan Palmyras. XMoruc A edged MMU Hornbills 12-10 to claim the Plate, and UiTM NS bagged the Bowl after beating PDRM Melaka 21-14. In the Under-21 category, SSTMI defeated SJ18 26-0 to win the cup. 2016 champions, SOWRC Angels beat Lady Sharks 15-0 to claim Labuan 10's womens title. The Angels displayed a brilliant performance to retain the title which they have won in 2016. Letto Rhinos Miri beat Tungku Titans 20-5 to claim the Plate title, and Keningau Pigeons hammered Labuan Islanders for the Bowl.  OSCA Legends beat defending champions, Brunei Bastidos 21-12 in the cup final to win the Labuan 10's Veterans' title. In the Plate final, KRFC Blackcatz beat Saborc Goldstar beat 21-5. Crusties Sports edged Sandakan Oldboys 21-19 to clinch the Bowls title. PSD LRA Warriors A clinched the first Girls Under-16 title at the Labuan 10's Rugby Carnival after edging KV Labuan 15-10 in the final. Jilbon Rugby Club claimed the 2019 UPSI 10’s Mens Open title after a 21-5 victory over Royal Selangor Club   (RSC) in the Cup Final. Jilbon showed consistency throughout the two days tournament held at the Padang Istiadat, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris in Tanjong Malim. FTK Ostrich and Manjong Merong finished third, while Python Rugby Club won the plate after beating Royal Engineer Rugby Club (RER) 7-0.  In the Women Cup final, UPM Ladies Angels beat P oly Unicorn 12-10 to win the category. Home side UPSI Ladies Eagles bagged the Plate after defeating UM Zombies 5-0. SSTMI won the IPT category with a 19-7 victory over UKM in the Cup Final. BLUE TIGERS CLINCH KUCHING 10'S TITLE

​ Blue Tigers from Johor won the Kuching 10's Rugby Tournament as they defeated UPM Angels 19-7 in the final. After finishing third at Badang 10's and Puteri 7's last year, the Blue Tigers showed huge improvements at Kuching 10's and produced convincing performances throughout the tournament. Founded in 2016 , Blue Tigers are currently managed by Azmi Ahmad and coached by Farid Rahman . They edged ATM Barbarians 10-7 in the semifinals to set-up the final showdown against the Angels, who thrashed Sukma Sabah 17-0 earlier. With former Malaysia Sevens players, Fairuz Rahman and Faridzal Ismail in the line-up, Blue Tigers were more balanced with experience to take their first championship. KERIS CONLAY WIN 4TH MRL PREMIERSHIP

Keris Conlay confirmed their status as the best rugby 15's club in Malaysia by claiming their fourth Malaysia Rugby League (MRL) Premier Division title on Sunday. They defeated Mersing Eagles 27-19 in the final held at the UPM Rugby Field in Serdang. Keris Conlay reached their seventh MRL final after defeating Serdang Angels 24-10 in the last four. Mersing Eagles overcame UiTM Lions with a 28-12 win in the semifinals. Keris Conlay dominated the match from the start. They were 17-7 up at the half time and the players showed strong characters throughout the match. Mersing Eagles tried to stage a comeback after the break but Farid Syazwan 's players held on the pressure brilliantly before cruising to another victory. Sabah Angels Warriors defeated Labuan Wipers 10-0 in the final to win the Womens category at the Labuan 10's Rugby Carnival . The Angels displayed another good performance to retain the title which they won last year. Awesome Dingoes hammered Eagles Womens RC 25-0 to claim the Plate, and KK Sharks beat UiTM Barbarians 10-0 for the Bowl. Tobarks edged KRFC Blackcats Legendz 17-12 in the cup final to win the Labuan 10’s Veterans’ title. In the Plate final, OSCA Legends beat Liger 7-0. Brunei Bastidos defeated Goldies Sibu 28-0 to clinch the Bowls title. Liger Cogra Warriors secured the Girls Under-16 title after finishing on top of the Pool.
