BRUNEI BASTIDOS, SOWRC ANGELS WIN AT LABUAN 10'S

Brunei Bastidos claimed the Labuan 10's Veteran title after defeating KSDBKL 17-7 in the final. Dash Shark took the Plate title after sinking Front Row 15 – 0 in the final, while OSCA Legends win the Bowl as they hammered Sandakan Old Boys 26 – 0.

SOWRC Angels edged UiTM Simba RC 5-0 in the final to claim the Labuan 10's Women title. Lady Sharks beat Panaga Pythons 12 – 5 to win the plate category, and Letto Rhinos thrashed SM Luk Yuk 31-0 in the Bowl Final.

About 50 teams from all over Malaysia and Brunei had participated in the 16th edition of Labuan Rugby Carnival. There are four categories which had attracted about a thousand rugby enthusiasts to Dataran Labuan over the weekend.

The defending champions were in complete control to deny their opponent from snatching the championship away. Mobster started the final without a number of key players due to Agong Cup's preparation. FRANCE CLAIM FIRST OLYMPIC GOLD IN STYLE

France  won their first gold medal at the 2024  Paris Olympic Games  in the most incredible style. In the men's rugby sevens final, they defeated the two-time Olympic winners,  Fiji , 28–7. Fiji won gold in 2016, and did it again in 2020 and were unbeaten in 17 games of Olympic competition. Antoine Dupont  was simply inspirational as France claimed their first Olympics gold medal in rugby at the Stade de France. The Olympic gold medal is the latest addition to his Six Nations title with France 15s, two European Rugby Champions Cups, and four Top 14 victories with club Toulouse. The 27-year-old is now widely regarded as one of the country’s best ever athletes. South Africa  bagged the men's rugby sevens bronze after some late scare. SSTMI STRONG DETERMINATION WINS BANK MUAMALAT MELAKA 10S

Sekolah Sukan Tengku Mahkota Ismail  (SSTMI Tsunami) won the  Melaka International Rugby 10s  after defeating  Muamalat Bullets  19-17 in the Open Cup Final Match. The young  Tsunami  players displayed a great fighting spirit to stun the more experience opponents in a nail-biting finale. Coached by  Syed Shazril Syed Mahadzir  and  Syahir Asraf Rosli , the SSTMI boys showed their class to compete against international players. They beat  KL Tigers  12-0 in the quarterfinals before taming  Muamalat Bazooka  24-10 in the last four. In the veteran category,  Melaka High School Oldboys  beat  SDAR Alumni  12-0 to claim the title.  ASAS Veterans  settled for third after beating  SMSS Oldboys  19-7 in the Plate Final.
