UNBEATEN BULLETS CROWNED KINGS OF SUPER 5

Muamalat Bullets marched through the 2026 Muamalat Super 5 Rugby friendly series with command, finishing unbeaten and standing tall at the top of the table. Loaded with elite Malaysian talent, the Bullets delivered a masterclass of control, power, and precision, with quality evident in every position. Senior players Anwarul Hafiz and Sufian Kamil brought invaluable experience, steadying the squad in key moments and setting the standard for excellence.

UPM Angels rose as the closest challengers, claiming second place after statement victories over IIUM Mustangs and Vioba Blues. Once again, the Angels proved why they remain the benchmark of university rugby in Malaysia. Fearless, talented, and fully capable of competing against senior club sides.

IIUM Mustangs provided flashes of excitement and promise. Known for their background in Rugby 7s and 10s, they stunned Kuala Lumpur champions Vioba Blues in the opening match, but struggled to contain the relentless pace of UPM Angels and Muamalat Bullets. With greater exposure to 15s rugby, the Mustangs could yet evolve into a serious force.

For Vioba Blues, results proved elusive, yet their fighting spirit never wavered despite missing key players.

The Muamalat Super 5 may seem small, but its significance is immense. This is not an ending, it is the first spark of Malaysian rugby’s revival.
