BLACKHAWKS WIN KL RUGBY LEAGUE AFTER BEATING KOBOYS IN FINAL

Blackhawks JR beat Koboys 31-12 in the Cup Final to become the Champions of the Kuala Lumpur Rugby League 2018. The Air Force team displayed solid performance to dominate the match at Bellamy Rugby Field on Saturday.

Blackhawks who won KL Division II last year showed consistency throughout the season before reaching the final. They topped Group A without losing a single match to set-up a the final showdown against Group B winner, Koboys. The win saw them maintain their unbeaten run in the Kuala Lumpur Rugby League this season.

Unisel Awesome beat Mobster RC 39-14 in the Plate Final. After finishing second to Blackhawks in the group stage, the Universiti Selangor team played all-out to claim the Plate title.

The President of Kuala Lumpur Rugby, Datuk Zainal Rafique was present to watch the finals and gave out all the prizes to the winners. Twenty top rugby clubs from Klang Valley played in the KL Rugby League this season. The league ran for almost four months with 92 matches played at four different venues in Kuala Lumpur.
