RUFINO'S HATTRICK GIVES SELANGOR THE ADVANTAGE

MALAYSIA FA CUP: SELANGOR 4 - PKNS FC 0

Selangor took a major step into FA Cup final after hammering PKNS FC 4-0 in their first leg semi-final match.  The Red Giants were at their best in a match which gave K. Rajagobal an impossible mission in the return leg next week.

Nazliazmi Nasir had to thank Rufino Segovia who blasted a hattrick, and also involved in the own goal scored by Azmizi Azmi.

PKNS were quite organize in the first thirty minutes as Selangor had to rely on counter attacks to find their chances. There were many dangerous moments for the visitors created by Selangor forwards.

Rufino finally found the net in the 39th minute before adding his second of the night a minute later.

PKNS came back in the second half trailing Selangor with two goals down. Rufino has been a threat to any defenders in Liga Super this season. The Spanish striker completed his hattrick just 11 minutes after the match resumed.

PKNS could not find an answer to Rufino's great form. Selangor got their fourth goal in the 64th minute when Azmizi accidently put the ball into his own net after trying to block Rufino's cross.

PKNS kept on trying to find a consolation goal for the return leg, but the Red Giants were also defending so well. The score stood until the full time.

In another FA Cup semifinal match, Pahang were held to a 1-1 draw by PKNP FC in Kuantan. Ahmad Sukri gave the visitors the lead in the 13th minute before Wan Zaharulnizam equalised in the 25th minute.
