HONG KONG WIN FIRST EVER ASIA RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP

Hong Kong claimed their first-ever Asia Rugby Championship title after beating South Korea 39-5 in their last Asia Top Division match. The victory saw Hong Kong stretched their unbeaten run to four matches and lift the ARC trophy. They also qualified to the next stage of Rugby World Cup qualification.

Hong Kong got into the match at Hong Kong Football Club in a very convincing approach. They never look like losing, while South Korea struggled to gain possession throughout the first half.

Hong Kong took an early lead from Matthew Rosslee's try. Minutes later, Liam Slatem made a break for Hong Kong second try of the day. Yiu Kam Shing delivered the third on his 44th appearance for Hong Kong. Then Slatem got another try, and Conor Hartley  made it 31-0 for Hong Kong before the break.

The home side scored another penalty after match resumed, but the Koreans showed signs of not giving up easily. Captain Yong Seung Lee made a try to raise his team's fighting spirit.

Although the Koreans played better in the second half, Hong Kong managed to control the situation. Jamie Lauder got a late try for the home side to seal the title. It's a great achievement for Hong Kong, and they will now face the Cook Islands in a home and away play-off. The winner will then head to the final repechage match for a chance to take the 20th and last place at next year's Rugby World Cup.
