THT SCORE EIGHT AGAINST SAPURA

MALAYSIA HOCKEY LEAGUE: SAPURA 4 - TERENGGANU HT 8

Terengganu Hockey Team (THT) continued their assault for the top of the table by beating Sapura 8-4. The Malaysia Hockey League match at the Bukit Jalil Stadium saw THT started positively by taking the lead after just three minutes through Firhan Ashaari. Tengku Ahmad Tajudin and Fitri Shaari added another two goals for THT to give them a comfortable 3-0 lead just after 11 minutes.

Izwan Firdaus tried to bring Sapura back into the game with a goal in the 14th minute. However, Jang Jong Hyun, Ismail Abu and Faizal scored and took THT away  with 6-1 lead. Faizal was given the marching order just before the break.

THT had to resume the second half with less players. However, the absence of Faizal did not affect THT play. The Terengganu side grabbed their seventh of the night from Tengku Ahmad Tajudin. Baljit Singh scored THT's eight of the night after Joel Samuel slammed one goal for Sapura.

THT slowed down after that and Sapura picked another two goals through Muhammad Zubair and Waqas Akbar. Terengganu retained the second position in the league with the result.
