HAMILTON SECURES F1 WORLD TITLE WITH VICTORY IN ABU DHABI

Lewis Hamilton edged teammate Nico Rosberg to win the 2014 Formula One World Championship title. The Briton clocked 1:39:02.619 at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to clinch his 11th victory in 19th races and collected 384 total points to secure the title. The victory is also Hamilton's second overall success in F1 championship after capturing his maiden title in 2008 with McLaren.

Despite finishing the final race at 14th place, Nico Rosberg still managed to end his 2014 season as the championship runner-up with 312 points followed by Daniel Ricciardo in third with 238 points. Williams Martini Racing Brazilian driver Felipe Massa clocked 1:39:05.119 to finish the race in second while his teammates Valtteri Bottas was in third with 1:39:31.419. As for Nico, it was a heart-breaking race after his car suffered a mechanical failure in 25th lap which caused his F1 title hope gone.
