Perak won their eighth Malaysia Cup title to end their 18-year wait, after a dramatic final against Terengganu . The Bos Gaurus beat Terengganu 4-1 in a penalty shoot-out as both team were tied with 3-3 after extra time. Perak goalkeeper Muhammad Hafizul Hakim Khairul Nizam Jothy turned hero for his team as he made two saves in the shoot-out. Kipre Tchetche scored two goals in the first half for Terengganu after two defensive errors by defender Mohd Idris Ahmad and Muhammad Hafizul . Trailing Terengganu 0-2, Perak came back stronger in the second half. Muhammad Firdaus Sayadi found the net for his team in the 46th minute to take Perak back into the title race. Malaysia pulled of a stunning performance to create history by winning the Asia Rugby Women Sevens Trophy . The Malaysian women beat Philippines 10-7 in the final at the Penaga Club, Brunei and earn the promotion into the Asian Rugby Women Sevens Series next year. After finishing third in the tournament last year, the Malaysian set a target to go one better this year. Nur Zieeyah Jerry and Nurul Azreen Azli scored two tries in the final to help Malaysia win the title. Nurul Azreen was the star of the team after contributing six tries in the two-day tournament. Malaysia beat Uzbekistan 5-0 in the semifinals to set-up the final showdown against the Philippines, who defeated Guam in the last four. Marc Leishman  won the  CIMB Classic  in style for his fourth  US PGA Tour  title. The Australian carded a final-round 7-under 65 to equal the tournament's lowest overall score of 26-under 262 at the  TPC Kuala Lumpur  on Sunday. The 34-years-old completed his final round with four shots clear from second-placed trio  Emiliano Grillo  of Argentina and American duo  Cheeson Hadley  and  Bronson Burgoon . Japan  proved that they are the rugby powerhouse in Asia by winning the 2018  Asia Rugby Sevens Series . After losing the  Asian Games  Gold Medal to Hong Kong, the Japanese bounced back and won all the three series to bag the overall title. The victory assured them a place in the 2019  World Rugby Sevens Series . Japan kicked-off in the final series in Colombo with a comfortable 61-0 win over  Malaysia . They went on to beat  Korea  40-0 and  Philippines  21-12 to finish top in Pool A. In the semifinals, they overcame host  Sri Lanka  with a 34-17 victory. Japan Women became the 2018 Asia Rugby Womens Sevens Series overall champions after winning the final series in Sri Lanka on Sunday. They beat Hong Kong 31-0 in the Cup Final to complete a successful season for Japan Sevens teams. Yume Okuroda , Chiharu Nakamura , Raichelmiyo Bativakalolo and Riho Kurogi were in great form as they delivered the points in final leg. The Japan's Women Sevens team started the final leg at the Racecourse Colombo with a 46-0 win over Korea . They maintained the great form to claim another two wins, 31-7 against Hong Kong and 29-0 over Sri Lanka . Kazakhstan gave them a good fight before going down 12-26 in the semifinals. Hong Kong made it into the final after beating China 17-7 in the last four. China edged Kazakhstan 17-12 to claim the third place. Sri Lanka won the plate after a narrow 7-5 victory over Thailand . Perak  are on the verge of reaching the  Malaysia Cup  final after hammering  Sabah  5-0 in the first leg semifinals clash at the Perak Football Stadium. The  Bos Gaurus  dominated the match in front of 20,000 home supporters who braved the rain to watch the game.  Perak to open the account in the 16th minute after  Nor Hakim Hassan  scored from a brilliant pass by  Firdaus Saiyadi . Three minutes before the break,  Wander Luiz  doubled the lead for Perak after a beautiful interchange of passes with Nor Hakim. Gilmar  finally got his name in the score sheet in the 73rd minute after his brilliant turn and shot in the penalty box resulted in a goal. Two minutes later, Firdaus headed into the net to extend the lead.  Perak got their fifth goal through  Leandro  spot kick to give the Bos Gaurus a comfortable advantage before flying-off to Kota Kinabalu for the return leg. Negeri Sembilan started-off their 2018 Agong's Cup campaign with a convincing victory over PDRM . The three times champions beat PDRM 29-12 at the Pulapol Rugby Field on Saturday. Negeri Sembilan went ahead in the 22nd minute through a penalty kick by Anwarrul Hafiz Ahmad . PDRM played well but they just could not break the visitors. The 3-0 score remained until the break. Negeri Sembilan were quick to increase the lead after the match resumed. Two converted tries by Anwarrul and Mohd Amir Shafiq Maddiah took their lead to 17-0. PDRM bounced back with tries by Wan Faizal Zulkefli and Lasaro Tugadrau . However, Negeri Sembilan got two more tries from Anwarrul and Muhammad Fauzi Ismail to take them away from Pulapol with a strong result.
