SELANGOR COMPLETE HISTORIC NATIONAL TOUCH TITLE THREEPEAT SUCCESS

The fourth edition of the National Touch Championship (NTC) and the inaugural Junior National Touch Championship (JNTC) concluded in spectacular fashion at UKM Bangi, marking another historic chapter for Malaysian Touch. Organised by the Malaysia Touch Association, the combined championship brought together the nation's finest senior and junior athletes in the biggest Touch event ever staged in Malaysia.

A total of 54 teams representing nine states. Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Pahang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Penang, and Johor competed in an action-packed weekend filled with breathtaking speed, remarkable skill, tactical brilliance, and outstanding sportsmanship.

Selangor once again proved their dominance by successfully defending the overall National Touch Championship title for the third time, collecting three gold and three silver medals. Kuala Lumpur finished as overall runners-up with an impressive haul of three gold, two silver, and one bronze medal.


The championship delivered several memorable finals. Kuala Lumpur edged Selangor 3-2 in the Men's Open Final and defeated Selangor 6-1 in the Mixed Open Final. Selangor responded by claiming victories in the Women's Open, Men's 40s and Men's 30s. Kuala Lumpur also lifted the Men's 50s crown after a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Selangor.

History was also created with the successful introduction of the Junior National Touch Championship, a major milestone in the sport's development. The new championship united senior and junior competitions under one banner, strengthening player pathways while promoting sportsmanship, community engagement, and the continued growth of Touch across Malaysia.


Melaka emerged as the inaugural Junior National Touch Championship overall champions with two gold medals, while Selangor finished runners-up with one gold, one silver, and one bronze. Kuala Lumpur completed the podium in third place with one gold medal.

The record-breaking championship showcased the remarkable progress of Touch in Malaysia, with fierce competition, exceptional talent, and passionate support reinforcing the sport's status as one of the country's fastest-growing non-contact games. The successful staging of both championships has set a new benchmark and promises an even brighter future for Malaysian Touch.

The historic city of Melaka is gearing up for a major sporting spectacle as the CM Cup Rugby Tournament 2025 takes place at the iconic Stadium Kubu ( Hang Tuah Stadium ) from 29–31 August. The tournament will feature five categories, with eight teams competing in each division and five teams in the Women’s category. The Malaysia National Sevens Rugby Championship 2025 promises fierce competition, and Melaka is ready to rise.
