MELAKA UNITED BEAT KUALA LUMPUR WITH TWO QUICK GOALS

Melaka United claimed their third win in the Liga Super as they defeated bottom team Kuala Lumpur 2-0. Darko Markovic and Nazrin Nawi scored two quick goals in the 14th and 16th minute to secure the win at the Hang Jebat Stadium on Sunday. Top striker Guilherme de Paula was not in Kuala Lumpur's line-ups due to injury.

Melaka were dominant on their home ground with Markovic, Nazrin and Anselmo da Silva continuously threatening the visitors. Markovic put Melaka ahead with a header from close range in the 14th minute. While Kuala Lumpur were still struggling to settle down, Nazrin doubled the lead with a solo effort two minutes later.

Melaka slowed down after the break, but Kuala Lumpur still could not find the net. Nazrin and Da Silva had the opportunities to add more goals, but Kuala Lumpur defended well.
