MAKATI CHIEFS A WIN MANILA 10'S INTERNATIONAL RUGBY FESTIVAL

Makati Chiefs A emerged as the champions of the 2018 Manila 10s International Rugby Festival after defeating B2Gold Larrikins in the cup final. The Chiefs came out as the best from 24 teams at the San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, and had no problem at all to beat their final opponent 53-0 to clinch the title.

After having a good run on the first day of the tournament, Makati Chiefs A marched on by beating Manila Carabaos (45-0) in the quarterfinals, and Eagles RFC (27-0) in the last four. B2Gold Larrikins defeated Tush Burkeyz (21-7) in the quarterfinals, and RMDK Tigers (10-0) in the semis before making-up to the cup final.

24 teams from the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, south Korea, Japan, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom competed in the 30th edition of the tournament. Manila Nomads won the Plate after beating Tush Burkeyz 12-0. Makati Chiefs B defeated Ibons 19-7 to bag the Bowl. Fiji Golden Oldies took home the Veterans Cup after winning over Extinct Volcanoes in the final.
