Ahmad Solehin Mamat's turned hero for Kuala Lumpur as he saved three penalties in Saturday's Malaysia FA Cup third round win over Melaka United. Kuala Lumpur battled with 10 men for an hour to hold Melaka 1-1 to the end of extra-time before winning 3-1 on penalties at the Hang Jebat Stadium.

Yahor Zubovich headed in his eighth goal of the season just after four minutes into the match. However, Guilherme De Paula equalised for the visitors in the 31st minute.

Boburjon Akbarov was sent-off in the 63rd minute after earning a second yellow card. Kuala Lumpur played defensively for the rest of the game before heading to a shoot-out. Solehin saved spot kicks from Khair Jones, G. Puaneswaran and Tiago Gomes to send his team through to the next stage.
