PKNP SEND KUANTAN PACKING IN FA CUP

FA CUP: PKNP FC 3 - KUANTAN 0

Kuantan FA were sent packing after losing to PKNP FC 0-3 in the Malaysia FA Cup third round match on Friday. Without their top hitman Zarko Korac, Kuantan could not overcome the well-organized home side.

Both team were equally good early of the match. However, PKNP finally broke the duck in the 32nd minute. Skipper Shahrel Fikri headed into the net after receiving a pass from Hafiz Ramadan. Kuantan raised their game to find the equalizer, but PKNP's Ahmad Asyraaf Omar was at his best to stop all the goal attempts.

PKNP pumped more pressure after the break. Gisung Yeon doubled the advantage for his team after finding the net in the 70th minute. Then Kuantan's chances slipped away in the added time. Mohd Hafizi Amiruddin brought down Saifuddin Khairil Anuar in the danger area, and Shahrel converted the penalty to ensure PKNP marched into the next round with ease.
