SIME DARBY WIN FAM CUP AGAIN

FAM CUP FINAL: SIME DARBY 2(3) - UKM FC 2(2)

Sime Darby lifted the FAM Cup despite being held 2-2 by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM FC) in the second leg of the final at the MBPJ Stadium on Sunday. The draw was enough for Sime Darby to win their second FAM Cup with 3-2 aggregate after winning 1-0 in the first leg match at Paroi last week. The last time they lifted the cup was in 2010.

Hasrul Nurkholis Hasim gave UKM an early lead before Nazrul Kamaruzaman and Tunku Noor Hidayat Tunku Ishak scored either side of the half-time break for Sime Darby. Faidzol Fazreen Shamsudin set up a nervous final few moments for Sime Darby with an 89th-minute equaliser. However both teams already assured of promotion to next year's Premier League. UKM FC earned their first ever promotion into the Premier League, while Sime Darby are returning back just one year after being relegated.
